While we won’t be able to take advantage of all of the deals being offered this weekend for U.S. shoppers to celebrate Memorial Day weekend, there are a couple of deals that we can mooch off of them. For instance, this weekend at Garage Canada both U.S. and Canadian shoppers will be able to receive free-shipping on all orders, no matter how much you spend.

Seeing as free-shipping is typically only offered on orders that are above $50, I’d suggest that you try to keep your order below this minimum. Here is a great little booklet I picked up yesterday at Fortino’s, containing not one, but THREE mail in rebates for different Finish products. I would imagine that this booklet would be widely available, so be sure to keep an eye out for it. Inside the booklet, there are three official refund forms for the following Finish products:

• Finish Jet-Dry or Quantum Jet Dry 200ml or Larger (save up to $6)
• Finish Dishwasher Cleaner (save up to $6)
• Finish Dishwasher Freshener (save up to $6)

For each of the available rebates, purchases must be made before June the 5th, 2015, and requests for refunds must be received on or before July the 5th. It appears that this booklet has been available since the end of April, however this is certainly new to where I have been shopping, so you may just find it now as well.

Up to $6 will be refunded for each product, and this is to cover the purchase price, taxes, and postage. You must submit the form with the original dated register receipt, with the UPC recorded on the receipt.

On Saturday, June 13th at 3:30pm, you can check out a free screening of the award winning Canadian documentary, Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance at the TIFF Lightbox theatre. This film was the first documentary at the Toronto Film Festival to win the Best Canadian Feature award when it premiered at the festival in 1993, even after it was initially rejected from being shown on CBC television.

The documentary follows the stand-off between Mohawk activists and the Canadian government during a land dispute the two rivals had in 1990. After the proposal for a golf course in Oka, Quebec was put forth, there followed a 78 day standoff between the two sides, all of which was documented closely by Alanis Obomsawin.

Though this movie is being screened for free at the TIFF Lightbox, the tickets will only go on sale 2-hours before the event and each person will be limited to one ticket each.

I found a rather good offer from within the Source Canada’s weekly deals, as they are now selling a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1″ Quad-COre 16GB Tablet for $110 off its regular price of $379.99. The only retailer that was selling the same tablet for a comparable price was Staples, though they were only selling the model in white, whereas the Source is only selling it in white.

To receive this offer, you will have to speak directly with a customer service agent, which you can now do online using Fido Chat. Or if you prefer the old fashioned way, you can also speak with a representative on the phone, by calling customer service.

Of course this deal won’t make all that much sense if you already have unlimited calling across Canada, but for those existing customers who do not have this feature, you may want to hit up a representative to see if you qualify for this freebie.
