Chapters Indigo Canada has loaded up the deals this week big time, first with their weekend offer (from February 6th-8th) of taking 15% off on all toys, home decor, style and paper when you use the promo code, 15OFFWEEKENDS. This offer rolls around every couple of weeks, but it’s especially well timed this weekend, seeing as next weekend is Valentine’s Day and a lot of us are yet to pick up our significant others any thing of significance. Chapters has a great selection of little presents, that you could stack to make for a big present, or even just purchase a smaller item for a nice add-on.
If you’re pressed for ideas, you can never go wrong with drink-ware, as most people either drink coffee or tea and would love something that reminds them of their significant other while they sip their morning coffee/green tea. The latest in the line of companies going bankrupt or pulling out of Canada: RedBox announced that they are leaving Canada. I know many people have free rental coupons from various promotions, so if you have one, you need to use it by February 13th.
You will have 20 days from the rental date, or until March 5th for recent rentals, to return any outstanding rentals or pay the full purchase price ($30 + tax for DVDs, $40 + tax for Blu-ray). If your RedBox disappears before March 5th, you can contact them to return your rentals. They say that the Canadian market just doesn’t have the remand they need to make it profitable.
If you bought a TeamBuy deal for RedBox, they are offering refunds, but no refunds will be given for other free promo codes (they recently gave out 10 free rentals as prizes for a contest etc).

As we mentioned the other day, Toonies for Tummies coupon booklets are available starting today and we now have a list of the coupons included in the booklet. You will receive a coupon booklet when you donate $2 at the cash at select stores.

Here is a great new printable coupon from Danone Canada! Save $2 on the purchase of Danone DanActiv with this printable coupon. It is available in fairly limited quantities, and combined with a decent sale this is a bit of a high value coupon, so do not hesitate to print this one while you can. There are currently just over 2000 prints of this coupon still available and they are going fast.
You must enter your email address in order to access the coupon and there is a limit of one print per person. This was a really popular coupon a couple of years ago, and one of my favorites, so I’m glad to see it back!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag, the Royal Canadian Mint is putting out a limited edition collection of $20 coins with coloured faces, plus the first coin which will be a $25 coin with the Canadian flag imprinted on it. You can purchase these coins for their circulation value, which will be $25 for the first coin, and then $20 for the next three coins.
The release of these 2015 limited edition coins will be staggered throughout the year, with the first $20 coin being sent to your home in March, the second being sent in May and the last one arriving in September of 2015. The themes of these coins is yet to be confirmed, but the first and only $25 coin will be sent out after you confirm your subscription and will have the rarely seen feature of a coloured flag.

Starbucks Canada will be running two separate sales along side one another until February 8th, 2015 where you will be able to save on, you guessed it, coffee! These two offers will be available to online shoppers only, and the second, will require a promo code to be redeemed.
The first sale that you can take advantage of with Starbucks Canada is a 20% off sale on select K-Cup packs, Verismo pods, and VIA Instant packages. This sale has made 32-pod packages of Pike Place K-Cups to be just $24.39, though package of this size are usually sold for $30.95. That would make each cup of the classic Pike Place roast cost under $1, at just $0.76 per cup.
The second sale that Starbucks is running is on the Caffe Verona Blend, where you can save an extra 10% off on your whole bean purchase when you enter the promo code, 10EXTRA, at the checkout. For the young learner in your home, you should check out the clearance deals going on at Walmart Canada right now, where you can save up to 50% off on brand name toys from companies like Fisher-Price. The most recent addition to this sale would be the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Case for iPad Devices, which allows for your baby to use your Apple device without the fear of them accidentally breaking your iPad, be it through spit up, dribble or general butter fingers.
