Swiss Chalet has a promotion going on right now where you can get a cup of soup and your choice of dessert for $3.99 with the purchase of an entrée $7.99+. Dessert is either pie or cake, lemon meringue and Chalet chicken noodle (not sure what the other flavours of soups are) were pictured. Order yours online here.
I love Swiss Chalet, although I haven’t been since my kids were born as it is hard taking two kids under 2 to a sit down restaurant.

When you like Nestle Nesquik’s Facebook page you can print a coupon for a $1.00 off any Nesquik product when you buy 4L of Milk products (I think they wrote ‘product’ to possibly include soy beverages and milk alternatives).
I don’t drink Nesquik myself, more of an Ovaltine girl but I have saw it as low as $0.50 just while browsing at the grocery store lately. So if you’re lucky you may be able to score free Nesquik with your milk.

Have you seen this program? While it isn’t new, it’s “new to me.” Yes the man on this episode was over the top, he did have some good tips. Sharpening your razors on a matchstick box, what a great idea! Asking people if you can have their leftovers when you go out, not only a bad idea BUT dangerous. (ie diseases) Rescuing animals, great idea! Going to random restaurants asking for ketchup packets, kinda embarassing….
Sometimes being frugal is great, but for a lot of us theres a fine line we don’t cross. Reusing rags as toilet paper, it’s not for me. BUT it’s not that far off of washable diapers, it’s all ones comfort level.
Do you have any frugal tips to save money that don’t cross the “extreme” line to share?

Lots of people have been buying up Poms this year! Stores have been selling out of this well known superfood like crazy because of a $1 off coupon they had offered. Never had a pomegranate? Don’t be intimidated, it’s very easy fruit to harvest without mess.
1. Cut in 4
2. Soak in water and remove the pith and separate the seeds (The water will keep the seeds from breaking everywhere and creating a mess.)
3. Enjoy them as a snack or juice them 🙂 (The actual seed is edible, but you can spit them out lol!)
When choosing a pom look for ones that are a nice red with not many brown spots. If they have soft spots or look dehydrated they are past prime, do not purchase. You can eat the “pith” (the white inside) but it will have you running to the bathroom as it’s a natural and powerful diuretic.
