Microsoft is offering a free download of the Beta version of Microsoft Office 2010. This is a Beta version so there many be issues with it since it’s still in production stages, but you can try it for free now. Once you download it, it should be valid until late next year.

It comes with a complete package of everything you need including: Word, OneNote, InfoPath, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint Workspace, Outlook, Publisher, Communicator and Excel.

I saw on the news that these things are flying off the shelves and people are paying $$$ to get them off kijiji and stuff. Are you buying one? I think my cats would love them. It’s basically a battery operated toy hamster.

ToysRUs.ca has announced on their facebook page that Toronto stores will be receiving a shipment of 400 Zhu Zhu Pets on Saturday, November 21, and an additional 1100 for online sales.

They retail for $12.99, and are limited to two hamsters per family ! ToysRUs.ca recommends that online shoppers try their luck before 7 AM. Happy hunting!

Wes Anderson made some of my favourite movies, like “Rushmore” and “The Royal Tenenbaums”. His latest movie is “Fantastic Mr Fox”, based on Roald Dahl’s children’s book and it looks great. This movie stars many awesome actors, including Bill Murray, Meryl Streep, George Clooney, and Jason Schwartzman. I’ve read reviews about how it’s probably too intelligent and weird for kids, but adults that love this book will probably enjoy this movie. If you like movies that are a bit…weird, you’ll love this.

Anyway, Fox Searchlight has free screenings available for this movie, there is a large list of cities, but the only Canadian ones on there are Montreal (sold out) and Edmonton, which was added today. I am hoping more cities get added soon, but since this movie opens on Nov 25th, I am not getting my hopes up. I will most likely see this in theatres anyway. But I will keep my eye on this site in case new theatres are added.
