And just when I felt relieved that Dell’s Deals were over, jimmycanuck tells us that Future Shop is having 10 days of web-only Deals ;-) I’ll cover these 10 days and hopefully Future Shop will have some good back to school deals.
Note that unlike Dell, Future Shop’s deals start at midnight. So here is Future Shop’s first deal.

Today’s Future Shop web-only deal is a Casio 5.0MP Digital Camera (EX-S500) for $199.99 (regular price $349.99). Shipping does not seem to be free anymore at Future Shop. The shipping costs will varry depending on where you live so the only way to find out is by adding the camera it to your shopping cart.
An awesome deal for a superb camera. You can read reviews on FutureShop’s website.
This deal is dedicated to Thilipan since he was looking for a good camera deal 🙂

or does it?
Another Visa offer! I’m not a Visa salesperson or anything, just pure coincidence! Get $10 off Shoppers Drug Mart Purchases of $50 or more with your CIBC VISA card.
More details on CIBC’s website here.
I don’t have a CIBC Visa card and I definitely won’t get one just for Shoppers Drug Mart’s lousy offers. I have an RBC Visa card and I recently got a TD Visa card (when I applied for the iPod offer). Although I hate RBC’s rigid account options I love their service and find it to be much better than that of TD and CIBC. Of course this may be different in your town or city, but here in Kingston that’s my overall impression.
Offer valid from August 5 to 11, 2006
More details on the $10 off $50 here
ok ok, I know I posted about this discount before 🙂 but after Ian left a comment on my old VIA Rail post today – saying how this offer saved him a lot of money – I thought I would post it again fas a reminder and for my new visitors. This offer is amazingly good: If you’re an adult you get to pay less than a student’s fair!
So here is the repost…
This is by far one of the best Via Rail deals I’ve come across. If you use your visa card and book online you save 35% and there’s no catch. Purchase your ticket online with your Visa card and get a 35% discount on the adult Regular fare in Comfort class aboard VIA Rail trains anywhere across Canada. Enter your E-mail address on the VIA Rail information page and you will receive an email from VIA Rail with an eCoupon code. Use the eCoupon code to reserve online for your discounted fare on travel before October 31, 2006.
For more details and to get this Via Rail Visa discount click here.
I’d like to thank everyone who’s contributing to this nice friendly community 🙂

I tried logging on today to post Dell’s last day of deals but I had some technical difficulties. I apologize for that. Anyhow, this concludes my coverage of Dell’s 14 days (I covered 13 lol) of Deals. Overall Dell did have some good deals but I expected to see at least a couple of mind boggling bargains. Hopefully they’ll have good back to school deals soon.
Back to other exciting deals, coupons and freebies 🙂

Sorry for today’s late post… I’m rather busy this week so I’ll be posting less frequently

Nothing fantastic today but some of you might the APC Back-UPS ES 725 Broadband for $49 (regular price $99) very useful. Have you been half way through writing your best and most creative article/blog/project ever when all of a sudden a power outage leads to an unexpected loss of your lovely work? It happens to all of us and when it does I personally just feel miserable. A couple of uneventful power outages have taught me to save my articles every 1 or 2 minutes. I can officially call myself a “save-aholic†😉
Anyway, back to the point… Dell’s PC Back-UPS ES 725 Broadband will prevent such a mishap from taking place. If the power goes out, your computer (or any electronic device plugged into the UPS) will not shut off all of a sudden. As well as its power outage protection capabilities, UPS is an good surge protector.
You can also use this UPS on your TV. Although there’s no risk of losing data on a TV, you’ll make sure you never miss a single episode of LOST or Grey’s Anatomy 😉
Some of Dell’s other deals today include:
– Garmin Nuvi 350 Pocket or Vehicle GPS Navigator with Integrated MP3 Player and Photo Viewer – $699
– Creative Labs Prodikeys PC-MIDI USB Music and PC Keyboard in One – $39
– Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe – $39
– Kingston 1GB SD Memory Card – $29
– SKB Rugged Notebook Case – Military Standard – $99
hmm, this Creative Labs Prodikeys PC-MIDI USB Music and PC Keyboard sounds interesting. I’ll have to read some reviews about it.
Note that shipping is free.

Today’s main Dell deal is the Creative Labs 30 GB Zen Vision: M MP3 Player Black w/FM Tuner for $279 (regular price $379). A great price for a great mp3 player but I can’t personally imagine myself using anything other than an iPod. But to be fair to this Zen player, it has an FM Tuner (for some unexplainable reason iPods do not have a radio) and this Zen also has a better battery life than a 30Gb iPod Video. When you purchase an iPod you pay a lot of money just for its reputation but with the Zen you’re paying for more features. I would still never spend $279 on a Zen though, but that’s just me.
Some of Dell’s other deals today include:
– Creative Labs 8 GB Zen MicroPhoto MP3 Player – Black – $199
– Philips HN110 Noise Cancelling Foldable Headphones – $39
– Solar Style SC002 Portable Solar Charger for Cell Phones, MP3 Players, Cameras and other Electronics – $39
– Dell 5650 5.1 Speaker System w/ Subwoofer – $59
– DiscGear Selector 100FX 100-Disc – $29
Note that shipping is free.
