Blockbuster has just kicked off a new promotion where (as you can probably guess from the image to the left) if you rent any 2 movies they’ll give you a coupon to save $3 off a previously viewed DVD.  Considering some of their used DVD’s start as low as $4.99, it’s a pretty sweet deal.  I just picked up Talk Radio and The King of Comedy for $1.99 each thanks to this.

The majority of their used product is at $6.99, although some of the really new stuff (past 4-6 months) can range anywhere from $9.99 to $16.99.   Either way, saving 3 dollars is a nice way to go.  The coupons are usable until March 10th.

This is a very well known Cineplex promotion that has been around probably before I was born. Buy Cineplex admission tickets on Tuesdays for $4.99 including tax.

I’m not sure if this price is available at all theatres since I know here in Kingston it used to be $7.95 last year. However I did check the Cineplex website and the $5 is available at a some locations.

The Apple store has dropped the price on its 1GB iPod shuffle to $55 down from an overpriced $85!

Apple is also expected to introduce a 2GB iPod shuffle next month and should cost approximately $75.

Today marks the first celebration of Family Day in Ontario. It’s a new statutory holiday (as you may have noticed if you tried to do any shopping today) that fulfills Dalton McGuinty’s promise to add a new stat day in February.
