On Parks Day, July 17, Parks Canada invites Canadians to come out and explore the best that Canada has to offer. Parks Canada opens its gates and welcome you into all national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas for free! There will be special events throughout the day to check out.

The list for Ontario is still for the people with cars filled with HST added gasoline. Hamilton’s Discovery Centre is not on the list of Parks Canada sites that open for free. (Kicks a pebble on the sidewalk.)
All places operated by Parks Canada are free on that day, but the list includes only those places who submitted their activities to a central list maker and does not include everything that is going on across the country.
