Pepsi now has a new look and it’s drastically different from the classical Pepsi look that we’re used to. You’ll either love it or hate it. Personally, I’m in love with this new design! I like Pepsi more than Coke and now I can certainly say that I like Pepsi’s look more too!

The Mountain Dew can looks ridiculous…the others are very modern looking!!!
I don’t like the new Pepsi designs either. Maybe it’s because the designs look flat? They have no life, it’s very uniformed and conformist. Okay, maybe I’m overthining this haha but no, I don’t like the life.

Do all the designers come from the same place where they teach ugly? The older designs are so much better. Why fix something that’s not broken?
I was chatting with MissScrooge, who is a designer herself, about the new design and she raised a few interesting points. The logos don’t look the same on all the brands so there’s no single logo to identify pepsi with. This is obviously a terrible idea. Also the shape they had been using for decades has now been altered! So although I like the new look I see how it’s a bad move by Pepsi.
oh and I avoided commenting on the look of these new Pepsi bottles because this is a family oriented website 😉
I think they missed the mark on this packaging… I’m very interested in advertising and packaging, but I don’t think this was the way to go. It looks a little too incomplete for me. Even the “Pepsi Logo” looks weird when they change it from bottle-to-bottle. This was a mistake, and I think we’ll see new (or the old) packaging from them in the near future.
Epic fail … enough said.

…but throwing in a quote suggesting that the cap (on Tropicana’s new packaging) looks like an orange coloured boobie is acceptable?? lol.
I was reading some of the comments regarding this Pepsi design after you left and feel it’s necessary to balance out the boobie effect with the following amusing quotes:
“The pepsi bottles sure do resemble wrinkly penis’.”
“Uncircumcised and Diet Uncircumcised….”
And, oh yes! “Ribbed for her pleasure.”

It’s all starting to make sense now.. lol.
To me it just looks like someone whipped something up in Photoshop real quick ‘fore their board meeting to discuss new branding ideas, and didn’t think anyone would take it seriously. Oops, looks like they did. Did I mention also that this person had little-to-no talent when it comes to graphic design? 3/10. Failsauce.
It’s just so booooring. No “oomph” to it at all.
And the Mountain, erm, Mtn Dew label is ridiculous! Man, kids can’t spell as it is today with BFF, LOL, OMG, etc….now we’re taking about words like “mountain”? Sheesh!
It looks like a ‘retro mod’ accident happened.
I really liked the diet pepsi cans and bottles as they were, what I really liked is the ‘special’ ones they make when they had the design a can contest and stuff, now those were fun!
I can’t say i’m a fan of the new design.
I wonder if these companies get a good imput before they change stuff.
I drink Coke, but I have to admit that I LOVE this new packaging!!!
