Petcetera Canada Printable Discount Coupon Save $20 OFF $50

petcetera_canada

Petcetera has emailed a nice coupon to all their members. From today until August 15th save $20 off any $50 purchase (before tax.)  You have to be a “plus” member but this is free to sign up! What a great time to stock up on doggy food!  I usually skip going into Petetera since it’s very overpriced but this coupon makes it worthwhile. Click here for the coupon.  Thanks Raindty for the heads up.

Wow, $20 off $50 sounds a little desperate.

The Petcetera by our house has closed and reopened – only to look like a deserted ghost town. I give them props for trying, but I think their stores are far too large for the amount of product they are trying to move. Maybe if they fixed the lit up letters on their sign, it would be a start, seems like it always is reading “etcetera” or “Peta” or “eeea”.

Maybe if people would stop shopping at Walmart (aka the de vil), other corporations like Petcetera could make a go of it.

Theyd have to shave their prices a fair bit to get me to go from Pet Smart to Petcetera

I never really shop there either but one of the stores by me did have a closing out sale (and re-opened) ended up getting a princess bed for my dog for $10 reg $50. It’s a good coupon but the bigger chains never carry the brand of food I give my doggy.

Petsmart might take it. They’ve accepted competitor’s coupons before.

    A princess bed?! REALLY?!!!

My local store is also in constant disarray, with products cluttering the aisles, either opened or still in boxes. Meanwhile, store shelves remain empty. What this store needs is not coupons, but a reliable store which is accommodating to customers who always get a decent price without having to rely on gimmicks. Also, having a rental outlet where dogs could be signed out for a week or two (preferably Golden Retrievers).

Just adopted two kittens on Sunday so the timing was perfect. Went to Petcetera and had to ask where a scratching post on the front page of their flyer was located. Store clerk said they must be out and to try back. After a bit of prompting he went to check with the manager when stock would be in. Response was November. Really unimpressed. In the kitten adoption area someone brought a dog in and seemed amused with it barking at the cats. Then we went to PetSmart and had a completely different experience.

$20 off $50 DOES seem desperate. And not a wonder – Petcetera is the WORST pet store I have ever shopped at. They have the rudest, most dim-witted staff I have ever encountered, and their stores are all incredibly dirty. Even such a good deal as this won’t be utilized by me.

I had an issue using this coupon. I got the third degree about how could I possibly have gotten the coupon when I wasn’t a current member (I didn’t tell them I got it from this site), and they weren’t sure I could just sign up and then use the coupon. It was quite embarrasing so I just told them forget it, I couldn’t remember the email or name I signed up under. In the end, they did accept the coupon by phoning the manager (still hiding my head because I didn’t want to cause a scene).
