Points, points, and MORE POINTS!!! If you’re hungry for more Optimum Points after the Tell a Friend event and need to buy more stuff at SDM, hold off until the weekend so you can get a 10000 bonus when you spend $50 or more. Personally, I find it really easy to spend that amount because of diapers, formula, and milk. Now to wait for the flyer so I can make my list…

Thank you to fayemercier for the early heads up on this promo!

NO MATTER WHAT….ITS NOT THAT ATTRACTIVE ANYMORE….SINCE THE POINT POLICY CHANGED

@ Angela – I’m sorry you feel that way. For me, the SDM down the street sells milk, eggs, fresh fruit, vegetables, etc. so I tend to do my groceries there. I can easily rack up $50 (before coupons) in groceries at the same prices that I would normally pay and I’m rewarded with $17.89 worth of points! ($170/95,000 * 10,000). I know this is not as good as it used to be under the old system ($20 worth of points) but it’s still better than the non-existant rewards I would get buying groceries anywhere else!

I feel, that although not as good as in the past, its still worth it. I would buy these things anyway, I make no special purchases. I buy what I need. Only exception is if Im not out of but running low on vitamins, I’ll buy earlier than planned, but not by more, only a couple of weeks.

People have to understand that compared to other loyalty programs like HBC, PC, Sears, etc., this is still by far the most rewarding program and hopefully by giving them support we are indirectly telling other businesses that they need to either sell their products cheap or re-design their loyalty programs to make it more rewarding for us to shop there.

Depending… it can be worth it. SO many things are so expensive at shoppers….

  6. Moom says:

I’d tend to agree. As long as you’re only buying what you actually need (hopefully on sale!) and you’re getting 20x the points then the Optimum program is easily the best rewards program out there.

Saw the flyer…nothing too great.I find that they haven’t had REALLY good sales for this 10th birthday thing…just alot of point offers.
