we went here last month , used this coupon too but yes the food is awful!
first of all you can call and get reservations but that doesn’t means you get a table right away when you reach at your time .you can check in on the first desk and then line up at the restaurant and get table when its available for us it was a wait of 20 minutes. then they had big big on the menu buy a drink keep the glass ! they have light up glasses and one more kind but no where not even in fine prints it said that you have to pay extra for the glass which is 8 bucks for just the glass!

I ordered pizza with fries for my DS the pizza was lying on top of the fries as if some one carelessly threw it on top! my daughter’s pasta hardly had any sauce , when she was finished you couldn’t even see a drop of sauce on the dish! we ordered starters for our selves for 10bucks we got 4 pieces of cheese sticks and the nacho platter had more then half of broken pieces …………….my advice ! just see the restaurant from out side and every half an hour they have a thunderstorm get the kids to see it from outside only , food is awful!

Completely agree with SJ. Went to the one in Niagara and the food was TERRIBLE and very expensive. Not worth it – even with a coupon.

We love rainforest cafe. You don’t have to order the drinks in the expensive glasses. We never do, because it does say the cost of the glasses on the menu. The food at the one in Yorkdale mall is great and the prices are on a par with Kelsey’s. We go for family birthdays and order the flaming volcano dessert for the table ( A fresh pan of warm brownies mounded over vanilla icecream, topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a sparkler! Too decadant for everyday! The posting I made also mentioned friends and family can buy the membership card at a discount rate. We bought ours at the full rate the first year and it paid for itself on our visit when we were there. It really is a great deal and the animatronic jungle is a lot of fun. It is very loud at times with the thunder and lightening and monkeys.

I hope you’ll enjoy this staycation as much as we do. This is a friends and family email for Safari club members.(It’s on the site now too.)

Here’s a tip tho- if you want to use interact- use your interact card to buy gift certificates in the gift shop and use them in the restaurant. The restaurant doesn’t take interact. (They have a ATM machine that charges you 1.50 to use it – I hate those things!)

I went today for my birthday *yay me!* lol anyways…I showed the coupon to the server and she said that because the Clifton Hill Rainforest Cafe is independently owned, they dont accept the coupon. I thought I would warn anyone who was coming here for a vacation or lived here and was planning on using it.
Yes the place is expensive, but all theme restaurants are. Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe..all just as expensive. We were lucky and had a really nice Host, who gives you a tour on the way to your table, and our server was incredibly upbeat and friendly. My sister works on Clifton Hill at Build A Bear and she recognized her from there. We must’ve just gotten lucky with our experience from some of the things I read online. Our food was delicious and came super fast. We ordered the chicken tenders appetizer and bruschetta appetizer. Our bill was just over $20. Not too shabby.
Btw..the thing with the glasses…it clearly states the price with souvenir glass and plain glass. Its a TOTAL bargain to get it with the glass. Non-alcoholic drinks are 10.99 w/glass, 5.99 w/o, alcoholic is 13.99 w/glass 8.99 w/o. The same glass in the shop is 12.95. You’re totally getting a good deal. You just have to go in expecting to pay more than say…McDonalds. You’re paying for the experience.

The only thing they have going is the show for the kids, but the burgers are pre-cook and most of the food. Frozen and ready for deep fried. Especially the burgers they pre-cook it and the steaks sometimes they use the microwave to speed up the process. You can really tell when it swells up like a ball. The best way to get free food is to take a hair and complain about it, almost half your meal will be paid for. Try it!!! And be careful with sitting near the round tables or the corners, you might hear some creepy crawlers and small little brown mice, my son found some traps with a mice caught on it. Try to open a secret door near the walls and you will see the mice scattered away when you open it.

We have been three x and food was great, atmosphere is great kids and adults loved it. With everything you see and the joy on the kids faces, it is well worth it. I wish there more in Ontario to go to.I live 8hrs away and we travel to go there. Someone put one in Ottawa and would make a killing
