I love when the Real Canadian Superstore has these events! This Saturday and Sunday, November 19th and 20th, RCSS will pay the tax on almost everything in store. Last year at this time we scored some DS games on a great sale and it was made even better by the No Tax Event!
My flyer for Ontario states there is a No Tax Event This weekend. Call your stores to be sure yours is one participating in this event!
Pick up some Christmas gifts or stock up on groceries!
thank you, would have missed this if you didnt post!
Thanks for posting this. Can I use coupons at this event?
🙁 I called the Superstore in Edmonton, and they said they had not heard of this event??? So I went to the website….but there is no information there either. Could anyone advise me of where to look….so I can let Superstore know 🙂
well it rotates east/west.
It doesn’t mean that it is Canada wide. Chances are if Superstore in Edmonton doesn’t know and it does not show in the flyer, that it is not no tax for the west.
Well, called Richmond BC and they say no tax free event tomorrow.
Could it be just another false rumours?
I wonder if its just for east this week.
The event has started today, Friday, I was just in there. Saved 8.00 in tax. Yay!
The flyer reads: “Friday, Saturday & Sunday – November 18, 19 & 20” – No tax. It did start today – I was charged no tax this morning (in Ontario)
Is it possible to post the province in the title or at least in the post?
is it for Ontario?? Toronto??
what I’ve seen on various sites is that this seems to be RCSS ontario
how about Alberta? Calgary? :S
If you want to find out if your store is participating in the No Tax Event, go to http://www.superstore.ca and find your province and store. The store flyer is available online and the no tax event is advertised on the first page.
it’s not going on in New Brunswick. They plaster the store with yelow posters eveytime there is a tax-free event. I was there today, and there was no sign of any such event.
…that and I paid tax on my non-grocery items
Just called in to our Superstore in Winnipeg, MB and they have no idea of the event… So I take it its only in certain places.
In BC the tax event is on the 25th only that i’ve heard of.
Yes, indeed not happening in NB, but one employee seemed to think it was happening soon for us. We can only hope! I have a couple of electrotics that I am holding out to buy without tax!
I heard Friday Nov 25th for Western Canada from an employee. At least in Manitoba.
I bought something at Surrey BC Nov 25 today. They charge me tax. What is the deal with that. What does almost everything means. I did not buy tobacco, lottery, gas, dry cleaning, alcohol, and rx. There is a sign everywhere.
I was taxed at the self check out on a no tax day purchasing toilet paper. I called when I noticed it on my bill at home and they stated that no there should not have been tax, but it is too late to do something about it now. I was told I should have had the lady at the self check out and remove the taxes manually for each item that is purchased. How much extra money are they making on that?!!!
