From now until June 19, you will get a $25 savings card for every $50 you spend at Reitmans. Savings card is redeemable on future purchases of $75 (pre-tax) from August 7th to September 4th 2011, in-store only. If you shop at Reitmans a lot this is a great promo for you. I have a friend that loves Reitmans because they sell pants in tall sizes. And if your in the market for some new shorts, they have some on sale for $20.

Better than a kick in the pants, but this sounds like a better deal than it really is. You actually have to spend $125.00 (inital $50 plus later $70) to get your $25 off. This works out to about 20% off, which is little different from the same old 20% (or extra 20% on sales stuff) sales Reitmans has all the time. If they make you pay the tax on the pre-discount amount (some stores do) it may actually be worse than a plain vanilla 20% off sale.
I was really disappointed last time this “Savings card” deal was on. I didn’t realize you had to spend even more money to get the savings!! I probably bought things I didn’t really need, in order to buy enough to use it. And the fact that they only allow you to use the card during a specific time period months from now, how are you going to be sure there will be something you like at that time? AND they’re probably hoping most people will lose or forget about the card. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this!! Smarten up Reitmans! I used to shop there a lot more before I got taken on this one!
