sears had great deals around xmas. i seen one father going with his daughter with 2 cartloads of barbie stuff, all for her! can u imgaine? what she gonna unwrap xmas day? this was maybe 2 years ago. at that time, i got ryan a swamp blaster thingy. still never actually tried it on water. still have it tho. it was a steal.
the only thing to watch for in the halifax, ns location is that sometimes, the boxes are damaged (and sometimes the product), well..it used to be really bad one time, but it’s improved over the years.
Thx for early heads-up on this. Got some awesome Tonka and Matchbox sets, the helicopter and jet sets, some dolls. Downside – some things which were instock when I started, an hour later were out of stock. Missed my chance on the Star Wars Death Star transformer!!!
also to note, they have free to-home shipping on items under 10lbs. does the 50% discount get taken off after you submit your order? i have some items in cart, and applied the coupon #, but it still shows a full price total (though the discount ‘note’ is also in my cart)..
I just went through in store pick up and was charged $3 handling fee. Does anyone else have that? Does the free to home shipping include this fee?

I know if you have a sears card the 3.00 isnt charged.
But 3$ for handling and free shipping is a good deal. It use to be 2$ years and years ago but I think costs for packaging and transportation brought it up appropriately.
If you have a Sears card, the charge is $3.00. With any other, it’s $5. Bummer. Doesn’t matter if you get it shipped to store or home.
I went through and got a 200.00 remote control truck for 59.99. And yes I was charged the 3.00 handling fee at the checkout. I was not using a sears card – but with the free shipping it was still a great deal!

There is NO 5$ charge whatsoever.
I’ve ordered a washer, dryer, freezer, fridge dishawasher all in the past few years and was charged 3$, there is no 5$ charge.

There was a $5 charge on COD catalogue orders and $3 on any credit card but recently the COD went down to $3. If you have trouble ordering with the 50% off, just record order numbers and phone the 1-800 catalogue number to place order.
I have NEVER had a $5.00 cod charge, its been $3 for quite a few years. It use to be $2, I’m not sure why you thought there was a $5 charge, I shop monthly with them and never have had a 5$ charge ever.
I work at the Catalogue dept. The $2 charge on a SEARS credit card order went up to $3 (all other credit cards were $3) and the $5 charge on COD orders (was $3) it started from about July to the end of Nov.(???) (people probably complained enough to get them to remove it. Just like about 2 years ago they charged $5 for the wish book and gave you a $5 coupon to use on your catalogue order -people complained and a short while later we stopped charging!)

Yeah the 3$ has been in place for quite a few years, but I was baffled by this 5$ charge, no wonder people complained!
