I don’t know if im a plus member or not…. I have over 40,000 pts, but probably mostly from bonus pts. Where do I find out if Im a plus?

Does anyone know if we can use this coupon when purchasing a $50.00 gift certificate card? That would be an easy way to get the 10,000 points.

    Cheers.

Last time I tried to use this coupon the manager at the SDM I go to told me to “save” my coupon for my next purchase because she couldn’t guarantee that the head office would give me the points because I redeemed this coupon during another points event. Obviously I used it anyway because I can print off as many as I want and in fact they did give me the points (in total I got 28,000 points on a $75 purchase)….BUT this was the first time they gave me the points….I tried 3 other times and my points were never added! So I suggest hanging on to your receipt and calling if you are not given your points~

I always question what they consider as $50 when the points are not added instantly at the cash register. If I use coupons and the total after coupons is under $50, I somehow doubt that they will give the points. Anyone with feedback?

  8. Sean says:

Thanks Janine. I just went and purchased a $50 gift card and the coupon was scanned and taken. The guy said it was good to go. The only issue is that after I left, I checked my receipt it stated: Reward Coupon (Offer#_____/ 0 Points). So I am not sure if it worked or not.

  9. janine says:

Sean, they usually add all the points at the same time at a future date…this one being Jan 8th….this way their head office can make sure that each coupon was properly redeemed and only one coupon can be added per account….keep your reciept and make sure they do it though!

  10. Sean says:

Janine, thanks you so much for your help it is much appreciated!

  11. Ann says:

So can you use optimum points to purchase the various gift cards that they sell in the store? I have tons of points and have no clue what the heck I’m going to use them for.

I tried to use this coupon at Shoppers St. Claire with no success! The cashier couldn’t scan it and the manager from SDM couldn’t help me. I’ve printed coupons before for other stores and I’ve never had problems with the bar codes, so I really don’t know what was the problem. But it was very disappointing that the manager simply said “NO we cannot help you”.
