OK Smart Canucks, beware: SDM advertised a Redemption event from Sept. 13 – 15, from which I was supposed to receive 100,00 points for spending 200,000 points. It never happened – the points never showed up. Unfortunately, apparently it’s the consumer’s responsibility to ensure that the company delivers what’s advertised, and if you exceed 45 days post-transaction, “there’s nothing they can do”. I will be pursuing this further, if this isn’t resolved, and so far I’ve gotten the same response from the company online, via phone, and via personal visit to the store of purchase (“Sorry, after 45 days there’s nothing we can do”). I’m not sure if I was just unlucky, or if this is their regular practice, but just be aware.
