So a little birdie named jack23 over in the Shoppers Drug Mart section of our fabulous website has let us all know that this coming weekend will be Super Bonus Redemption at Shoppers! The redemption levels for this one are as follows: 40000 points for $90 and 80000 points for $200. Pretty awesome! Also, this is a regular redemption, not just cosmetics so get planning your weekend shopping trip.
Happy I’m not working Saturday lol. I hope it’s only a one day thing. -_-
So are there any math wizards out there who can tell me how this deal compares to the Mega Bonus Redemption they had before and to the other Bonus Resumptions?
Sorry, working in the dark and meant Bonus Redemption, not resumptions LOL
There has only ever been one Mega, it was the best deal they have had but who knows if they will ever do it again.
As far as I can figure, you get about $2.11 per 1000 points on a regular $200 bonus redemption day. At that $250 bonus redemption before Christmas, it would have worked out to about $2.63 per 1000 points. This weekend, it seems to work out to $2.50 per 1000 points. Still pretty good!
From what I have heard, this is Sat. and Sun.
I believe that the regular ‘bonus’ redemption is 95K points for $200 and 50K points for $100. So for the $200 redemption, you’ll use 15K less points.
Why do they have to complicate things. I like the redeem 95K for $250… 40K and 80K doesn’t have an equivilant on the back of the receipts. I’m sure they’ll bring the 95K= $250 at christmastime. So I think I will wait for that instead. Christmastime they always get extra cool stock in. Right now its just full price or simple sale on spring/summer stuff. I stock up on that stuff at the end of the season for the following year and save even more.
It’s not that hard to do the math and realize this is a great promo:
Regular redemption
-8000 points = 10$ (800 points for 1$)
-95000 points = 170$ (559 points for 1$)
Bonus Redemption Weekends
– 95000 = 200$ (475 for 1$)
Mega redemption last Christmas
– 95000 – = 250$ (380 points for 1$)
THIS PROMO
– 80000 = 200$ (400 points for 1$)
It’s way better then a bonus weekend, and ALMOST as good as last December.
There is apparently a bundle to know about this. I suppose you made various nice points in features also. Could you update me with your next post please?
Would of been nice to of gotton a gift card. I spent well over $50.00 in Langley,B.C. Cashier knew nothing about this promo.,so I walked away with my groceries (some I didn’t need),with no tim hortons card.
Very disappointed-time wasted. But some flyers online show different than others I have noticed.
