Always a favourite promotion, the yearly offer for Optimum points on gift card purchases is back again at Shoppers Drug Mart stating Saturday 5th November until Friday 11th November.
Buy two (or more) gift cards totalling $200 or more to qualify. If you purchase four gift cards for $400, you will still only get 8000 bonus points, so youwill need to split up transactions. I can’t read the small print on the flyer sneak peek, but if like previous years, there were some conditions. You will not receive points if you use another gift card to buy gift cards. Points were not awarded immediately last time either, they were credited 7-10 days after the promotion ended.
As with last year, there is some fraud with Shoppers Drug Mart gift cards as the PIN is not needed. It is best to get a card from the cashier and not the gift card rack where there is a chance of them being copied. There were some isolated instances of cards that were copied in previous years, and Shoppers will be a prime target for this with this promotion.
