Or buy a BMW and get this service for free.

Yeah, I think there’s an offer where you can pay in the $500 range and get XM for as long as you own your vehicle. When I keep a car for ten years or more, it might be worth it!

Yah, but with a bmw, you still only get the service ‘free’ for a couple of years! And I don’t think the $$ i save with coupons will pay for a bmw!

I have been a loyal Sirius subscriber for a long time now. I pay a monthly fee for internet access, vehicle access, and mobile access. I travel for a living, so having Sirius on the road has always been important to me. They recently sent out an email saying that online subscriptions were now going to be an additional $4/month, giving less than 2 weeks notice for the new charge which was previously included. Monthly fees have been steadily increasing, and this new $20+/month fee is getting ridiculous. I would no longer recommend Sirius to anyone – it’s NOT worth the investment of getting the radio set up in your vehicle, paying the connection charges, paying the disconnection charges, etc. They can’t keep their business plan straight, and they are no longer customer service friendly. Just my two cents if you were considering signing up with them! Thanks for posting the deal, Smart Canucks! Hate to rain on your postings! 🙁

I was unhappy abotu paying such a high fee, so I called to cancel and I now pay $4.99 for the next 6 month. In 6 months I will call again and ask to cancel and hopefully they will offer me another deal, if not thats ok. I can live without my satellite radio.

To add to the discussion… I called when my renewal was due as well. The offer I got was 50% off for the entire following year. I am deeply unhappy with the idea of the additional $4/mo charge for internet streaming. I understand that this is likely an expensive business to run but it feels like gouging, especially since it used to just be included.

$20+/month for radio just isn’t worth it. If I can get a good deal on my next renewal then I’ll keep it, if not I can live without it. No doubt they’d contact me within a couple of months of cancelling to make an offer anyway…
