This was a great post! Thanks for sharing and opening our eyes to what we may have not been watching out for!! Cheers!

  2. MrWindsor says:

The picture for the Store Reviews is indicative of someone that really has no respect for others. If that individual actually waited 30 minutes then they wonder why when they go into places that they are waiting because of immaturity of a disgruntled patron. Now someone will need to clean that mess up before anyone can be seated and served!

  3. Sara says:

I personally laughed when I saw that. Completely cracks me up.

So what if someone has to take 30seconds to wipe it up, they should’ve waited on the other people!!!!! If they were there long enough to do that they were there long enough to be noticed.

    LOL at the pic!

  5. JA says:

laughed at the pic, as well! and very creative, too!

  6. Sympatica says:

Love the pic, had similar problem at Earls’s (20 min no service)… I emailed head office and ended up with an apology and a free dinner 🙂

  7. shabba suraj says:

LOVE the pic. If I had to wait 30 minutes for service I would have done EXACTLY the same thing. Thanks for the idea!

  8. Shadyman says:

@Sympatica: Exactly. No need to make a mess about it (Since the person who will have to clean it up is probably NOT the person that made you wait.) An email to head office or a scathing (but honest) comment card will usually net you “Please come back to us” free dinners.

Why are none of the store reviews positive?

I’m going to sympathize a little here. A lot of Tim Hortons / Other fast food workers are under the age of 18 and some are quite inexperienced. It’s difficult for them to always serve and do everything right 100% of the time, and when things get busy, there’s a lot of problems. Although I understand when there is no customer satisfaction, there is definitely something to complain about.

Working at a fast food place for a year, I know that sometimes I make mistakes. They always complain and get angry, whether it be my fault or not. It’s not that we don’t try, it’s that mistakes happen. So please, just think about that the next time you want to complain to their manager. The employees feel bad about it to.

I get it people could be new and mistakes can be made but 30 minutes. I think that is a little much.. Just my opinion..

  12. John says:

I ordered dry and wahser set in Futureshop in Langley,BC.
It was take 2 month for install perfactly.
I never ever go to the futureshop again.

  13. bigred says:

Zellers in Durham: Apparently they’ve had some photocopied coupons and now they’re treating their customers like we all sit around the copier all day and create any coupon we desire. The last 2 weeks shopping at Zellers has been a nightmare. Using coupons and price matching were denied. I finally went to Wal-Mart and not only used all the coupons, I price matched Zellers with no problems but received a “Thank You”.

  14. Shawn says:

some older lady working at the Tim Horton’s Inside Sobey’s is stealing money from customers and if you notice she will tell you she doesn’t remember the transaction. It’s happened to me twice now, same older lady.. same story! also to my father! 5$ the first time and 10$ the second time! the real fruit smooth is not worth it!…….

  15. Phili2 says:

Re. Tim Horton’s. — I try to avoid these — long lineups, tables are usually piled with dishes and garbage, noisy, donuts are lousy — too sweet. I do like the lunch-type combos but who wants to put up with the other negatives about the shops???
