More stores are temporarily closing in Ontario as a result of COVID-19.Such stores include Lowe’s, The Home Depot, Staples, PetSmart, Pet Value and more. However you can still shop online and get home delivery. Some stores also offer curb-side pick up.
These closures follow the updated list of Ontario’s “essential workplaces” which states: Services to the public that are restricted to alternative methods of sale: Stores that sell any of the following items and provide them to the customer only through an alternative method of sale such as curb side pick-up or delivery, except in exceptional circumstances:
- Hardware products.
- Vehicle parts and supplies.
- Pet and animal supplies.
- Office supplies and computer products including computer repair.
- Safety supplies.
This is non-sense.
This is just crazy the damn goverment is really nieve these stores are a necessity Trudeau and Ford are not essential to us
Good Day Christopher & Mike: What is nonsense are people with attitudes like yours and are the reason we are going to be housebound longer than necessary. This is serious in case you missed the news and haven’t heard the death count around the world. Be thankful it isn’t a member of your family or a friend as yet. They don’t make people like they used to…just look back at war times and the mettle that was required from terrified civilians to survive day to day. Thank you to all the stores that have been open and ones that remain open, doctors, nurses, truck drivers and all others that have volunteered their services to do whatever they can to help out during this very uncertain time. Realize, these people are putting their lives at risk everyday, most without a choice. This is time to take pause and not despair about what we HAD but what we HAVE. I agree with you, Gail. It is always better to be inconvenienced and bored at home than to be fighting for your life in ICU
