I have a craving for my all-time love, Miss Vickies Jalapeño Chips. Ever since I tasted this chip, I’ve never been quite satisfied with anything else I’ve tried. I love spicy food, and this is the only variety of jalapeño chip that satisfies me. Nicely seasoned, with a bit of heat but not overwhelmingly spicy. So Canada, what’s your favourite potato chip?
They should come with a health warning. Death to the tater chip!
haha
Kidding.
I love Cape Code Sea Salt and Vinegar. I have trouble finding them in Canada so now its onkly the USA for me.
I’ve tasted potato chips all over the planet! Lays Kettle chips are good … but Miss Vickies plain and especially Jalapeño are A CUT ABOVE FOR SURE! There ain’t no doubt about it!
My wife and kids live in Canada. After them, Miss Vickies chips are what I look forward to most – followed by a chilled coke! Pure heaven!
I love Ruffles All Dressed!
Lay’s Classic or the Salt and Pepper ones they have. YUM!
ALL THE P.C. chips in the white bags!!!!
any flavour of kettle chip, miss vickie’s, our compliments…I don’t care, I just love kettle chips & my DH hates them so they don’t come into play very often.
…i don’t eat junk food lol
Mine is Ruffles Sour Cream ‘N Onion but my eight year old son’s is Miss Vickies’ Malt Vinegar and Sea Salt Chips! We buy these from the wholesaler and he takes a bag to school everyday 🙂
I don’t eat a lot of potato chips, but when I do the Miss Vickies with sea salt and malt vinegar is the one for me!
Gotta be baked lays!!!
If you love spicy stuff… this is the dare “Blair’s Death Rain Habanero Chips” …I love them they were hard to find, haven’t had it for while…used to buy from 7/11 …bit expensive..but if you want to experience extreme this is the way to go…Try and post your reaction

Covered Bridge chips. No question. No debate. Best chips on the universe!
Someone gave a bag of chips to us at work…MAUI ONION…I don’t know if it was a sample, test batch or what, and I don’t remember who made them. Does anyone know who makes them?

http://www.fritolay.com/our-snacks/lays-kettle-cooked-maui-onion.html
Another vote for Miss Vickies sea salt and malt vinegar
I will only eat 2 kinds, Mrs. Vickies Jalapeno my all time fave or Old Dutch Mexican Chili. Nothing else is worth eating. I never buy chips though unless we are having a party or bbq or something.
*shudders about thinking of the smell of malt vinegar*
Costco sells a brand of Maui Onion Chips in a purple bag, I’m not sure the brand.
I’m going old school here. Old Dutch ketchup in the twin bag-box.
I loved Ruffles Salt and Vinegar, but they stopped making it and replaced it with “Buffalo Wing” flavour.
Sad.
I also emailed them to see if they would start making them again and they told me no.
Super Sad.
u guys should try Stacey’s pita chips…. yummmm
its not a potato chip… but its healthier!
Love, Love, Love Jalepeno (Sp?)
Another vote for Ruffles All Dressed! THE BEST 😀
Salt and Vinegar from Kettle. All kettle chips are spectacular, to be honest, but the salt and vinegar is just exceptional.
http://kettlebrand.com/
I LOVE Miss Vickie’s Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar. They are the best 🙂
Kettle Chips – New York Cheddar
Pringle – Ketchup or BBQ…. =)

Kettle chips! By far the best salt and vinegar chips I have EVER had!!! They are sooo addictive!
miss vickies sea salt and vinegar.
Don’t eat chips
Used to love miss vickies chips in blue bags. Can’t rememeber the flavor, sweets chili & sour cream? Something like that 🙂
Miss Vickies the blue bag 🙂 (this is how I refer to them). I think they’re called Sweet Onion Chili, they are delish!
The Maui Onion are Tim’s Cascade chips. They also make Jalapeno and original. Those are the only flavours available in Canada.
The Jalapeno are my favourite.
Hardbite. They’re made in Maple Ridge, BC and were successful on Dragon’s Den.
The yellow bag is great for those of us with high BP. Only 1% sodium yet they taste like a real chip 95% of the time (some bags lack taste occasionally).
They are Kettle cooked.
I love all chips, any is good for me
^not really
Old Dutch Baked Ketchup chips, or Miss Vickies sea salt and vinegar are my votes!
I am addicted to Kettle Chips Buffalo Bleu flavour
salt & pepper chips
Laura Scudder BBQ Potato Chips – hard to find even in the USA
When I was in Mexico, I had Ruffles Queso. OMG…they were amazing!!! I only wish I could find them in Canada!

Death Rain Rule
miss vickies JHALAPENO are besttttttttttttttttttt!!!
has anyone ever tried cheetos flaming hot?they are commonly found in USA and not here in canada :(. they are the besttttt!
Definitely Miss Vickie’s sweet chili & sour cream, roasted red pepper & the purple bag (forgot the name) but unfortunately not all stores have those ones. They should discontinue the Original Recipe (horrible flavour)
love, love Lays Sweet Chili.. think they’ve been discontinued though? does anyone know?
Doritos Jalapeno Poppers! Although Mrs Vikies Jalapeno and Ruffles All Dressed are both awesome too.
starkith: If they were kettle cooked maui onion they could have been “Hawaiian” (I think that’s the brand). These are the one’s at Costco as Bugga mentioned. They also have a BBQ that is even better IMO!
miss Vickie’s salt and vinegar all the way!!
Miss Vickies’ basalmic vinegar is sooooooooooo good!!! also LOVE the Kettles Yogurt & Green Onion!!
I don’t like the kettle style chips, and Lay’s are too salty.I prefer and always will, Old Dutch Regular, and Old Dutch Vinegar second..I used to like Hostess chips, but they aren’t available anymore.
thaichips!!!
LOL – I like too many flavours! Overall fave is Old Dutch onion and garlic, which only comes in boxes.
Miss Vickie’s Garlic are the best kettle chips.
Ruffles – hm… like them all.
Occasionally like ketchup or salt ‘n vinegar.
Pc white bag –baby back rib flavour–and they were on sale for 99 cents this week–so i am in chip heaven right now!
My top 4
Ruffles All Dressed
Ruffles Hot Wings
Miss Vickies Regular
Miss Vickies Jalapeno
my all time favorite are lays salt & pepper chips but i recently discovered a new patota chip called kettle baked sea sakt & vinegar they are awesome!!!!
Old Dutch Baked Salt & Vinegar all the way…
Ruffles sour cream and bacon! Yummm (my mouth is watering)
Miss Vickies sea salt and pepper
I have to agree with Peaches, Covered Bridge Sea Salt chips are excellent! For those lucky enough to have them available in their area, these are definitely a delicious tasting kettle type chip.
I love the Kettle Baked Sea Salt and Pepper chips. They are baked but delicious. The seasoning is awesome.
Bacon n’ Chedder is my favorite mmmmmmm – but they are so hard to find.
Miss Vickies Jalapeno and baked Lays Parmesan
Covered Bridge potato chips…from the maritimes!
It’s weird; i seriously, no joke, have a phobia of ketchup; it bothers me so much and i will easily lose my appetite if it’s in my view while i’m eating BUT i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Ketchup chips! Go figure!
I love Cool Ranch Doritos, they’re my go-to k=junk food chip!
Old Dutch ketchup and BBQ in the twin bag-box.
Mrs. Vickies use to make a chip called Mesquite BBQ…that was the best bag of chips out there!!! Does anyone know why they stopped its production???
I’m hooked on BBQ flavoured Pop Chips. They taste like the old Hostess BBQ chips used to taste, but somehow I don’t feel quite as guilty eating them!!
Anyone had durian chips from Thailand? A friend of mine brought them back, super yummy and not stinky at all like the fruit!
Recently tried HARDBITE. These are the best. Not too greasy and nice and crunchy. I like the lightly salted. Try ’em!
I really like Skinny Sticks – Garden Veggie! I hope that the name’s not misleading though! 😉
For me it has to be Miss Vickie’s Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar. Delicious!!!!
The President’s choice Tandoori Barbecue Chips.
I love the spiciness and they are less than $2.50 a bag. 🙂
Blair’s Death Rain Habanero Kettle!!!
but I can’t find anywhere in the Quinte Area that sells them! 🙁
maybe Kingston, but, no luck so far! 🙁
but my other favorites are
Ruffles: Sour Cream and Bacon
Sour Cream and Onion
PC: Smokin’ Stampeed
When I’m in the mood for hot, Death Rain Habanero. For flavor the Death Rain Buffalo Wing chips are awesome……
I like many of them but some of my favs are the PC brands-buffalo wings and blue cheese and their greek feta.
I recently tried one of the new Doritos…they have 1st degree burn, 2nd degree and 3rd degree burn. I tried the 2nd degree…and ended up having to drink 3 glasses of milk to cool my mouth after. Yummy but pretty spicy!!
My home-bound friend loved the PC brand sour cream and onion chips. I tried to find some for her but they are now discontinued. She said they had the right balance of powder and flavour. Does anyone know of another brand with a similar taste?
She doesn’t like Lays or or the yellow no-name brand.
Hey! Sally who enjoys Cape Cod Sea Salt and Vinegar – if you are looking for them in Canada, go to T&T (the chinese grocery store chain). They’ve got them. Locations in most majors cities, and 7 in Toronto/GTA.
Good luck. We’re all counting on you.
I love Ol’ Grandad’s Classic Gourmet Potato Chips. They usually sell out at Giant Tiger very quickly – especially the Regular Flavour ones. You can’t eat just a couple. The bag’s empty before you know it. 🙂
i love Miss Vickies Salt N Vinegar…however trying to stay away from potato chips.
