Yellow Pages Ltd. Canada, once known for its thick print directories, announced that it will fire around 500 employees in an effort to cut costs. The 500 positions, about 18% of the company’s workforce, will impact its employees across Canada and all functions, the company said. Yellow Pages will report fourth quarter results on February 8th and will book a restructuring charge of about $17 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2018.
Now it’s Yellow Pages laying people off, not really a surprise; we can have a desolated country where either:
a) you don’t work
b) you work for a bank
c) you work retail
Great options, no.
