A few month ago, Amazon purchased Whole Foods for 13.4 billion dollars. Last month, Amazon spent its first day as the owner of a brick-and-mortar grocery chain cutting prices at Whole Foods Market as much as 43 percent.
Now Amazon Canada is working on plans to roll out its one- and two-hour membership delivery service, Prime Now, into Canada later this year. Amazon could begin offering this service in Vancouver and Toronto in November and January, respectively, under a pilot program that will deliver groceries and other items. This is good news for Whole Foods fans since Amazon Canada will be getting its food from the recently acquired chain.
