We had this in Vancouver last year… I went on the first day (I was fourth in line) and it was really not great. 99% of the things there had holes and tears in them. Apparently they put out boxes of store-quality stuff the next day, because people were complaining so much… but either way, not worth waking up early for!
99%? Come on now.
I’d love to say I’m exaggerating, but I’m really not. There were stacks of boxes to be put out when the others were empty – I looked at them, and it looked like they were ‘damages’ shipped from stores to the warehouse (or something?)… and when I say stacks of boxes, I mean an entire wall of boxes stacked about ten feet high.
Oh man I went to the one in Toronto in the summer… There was absolutely nothing worth looking at. About 60% of the merchandise are just “Legalize Gay” t-shirts in all the colours of the rainbow… the rest were onesie leotards. NOT worth the $14 parking spot.
This sale just ran in Vancouver from Nov 10 – Nov 15. There were tons of amazing deals, and the majority of the merchandise was not damaged. T shirts (graphic and plain) ran from $6 – $12, and long sleeves were $10 – $12. Lots of great sweaters, cardigans and hoodies at the $26 price point, and winter jackets from $63 – $90. I would say it is definitely worth checking out, and advise you go early in the day (most stock seemed to be replenished over night). They did an additional 20% off everything on the last day of the sale in Vancouver.
