Canada’s Largest Burger

Canada's Largest Burger

The record for Canada’s largest burger was broken by Tommy Burger’s in Alberta. This burger weighs a whopping 141.73 lbs. Good thing we have free health insurance in Canada because whoever consumes this burger will need it.

Canadian healthcare is important. In the United States there is a tug of war between certain employers and workers when it comes to healthcare coverage. It is important to remember that our healthcare is paid for by our taxes, so it really isn’t free. Lets protect it.

Was there really a need for this? That’s absolutely disgusting. Look at the solidified fat on the bottom of the tray. Is that bottom bun made of lard? I need an puking emoticon.

  19. Jake says:

Why didn’t the store use the budget to make burgers for charities or to raise fund for charities or something similar…instead of wasting the whole thing just to make a huge gross hamburger that no one would want to eat?

  20. ninelivescat says:

  29. abirdd says:

Honestly, what a waste of food. With plenty of families struggling in the current economic crisis, I can’t believe they wasted over 135lbs of meat, plus “more than a lb of pickles, 10 lbs of tomatoes, two lbs of onion, five lbs of lettuce, five lbs of cheese and two lbs of sauce”. Disgusting…

Free medical? What are you talking about?? Nothing is free in Canada. We pay $54 per person or ~$125 for a family of four, per month, as Medical Services Plan (MSP) premiun in BC.

  31. ed says:

That doesn’t even look like it can be shared among many people! What was the point of it?

  32. Lil says:

What a waste of food. Imagine how many people could have been fed if they didnt waste the meat and veg on making that gross looking “burger”. Yuck!!!

  33. Lori says:

    I agree.. a waste of food !!!!!!

You’re right PK. It is not free. However at $54 per person of $125 for a family of four, it is an incredible bargain compared to private costs such as in the United States. If you check the World Health Organization (United Nations) you will see that our healthcare system, though it has concerns is half the cost of the Americans. They have layer upon layer of administration costs, some that work to deny you benefits.

  35. Chels says:

I agree that is disgusting. On that note I have a friend who would actually love that burger and probably order it and eat it. That could feed several villages. It amazes me the food restaurants waste when there are millions or starving people.

  36. cybro says:

Looks like a pile of elephant poo!

  37. Nettie says:

    Eww…that’s just gross…

  38. Zay says:

    Now that is just Nasty!

  39. cheapy says:

    Ha! the McNasty!

  40. Ryan says:

Wow whats with all the huff about the waste? its like 150 normal burgers. With the amount normal restaurants throw out and this is what people complain out. Seriously who cares, its a publicity stunt. That cost next to nothing. Donate the money to charity? your talking what 400$ to make this? Man do cheap people find a lot to complain about, and yes were all cheap, efficient, good on a budget, like bargains, what ever you want to call it since were on this site. But gimme a brake its not that big of a deal.

  41. Ryan says:

    but yes it looks gross
