rogers.jpg

Until December 16 existing Rogers customers can participate in the Rogers Customer Appreciation event.   I did this and even if you don’t win a grand prize you get something.  I was able to pick from a free movie rental at Rogers Video, 5 free song downloads from the Rogers Music store, a $15 Rogers gift card with the purchase of $25 or more at Rogers Plus or Rogers online, or 20% off any previously viewed DVD.   So definitely worth checking out if your a Rogers customer.  Thanks freebiechick for letting us know about this.  🙂

Netwinner.com – Canadians Earn $25 MasterCard Gift Cards for FREE!!

netwinner.jpg

For anyone who does not know what Netwinner is, its a free game site where you can earn free gift cards.   I joined awhile ago skeptical about actually getting paid out but I am pleased to say that I just submitted for my first $25 MasterCard gift card so it does work.   And since I know for sure that it works, I figured I would post the details here on the blog for our readers so you can start earning some gift cards as well.  🙂

How Netwinner works is you sign up (and receive 1000 bonus points for doing so) then you simply play the game until you hit 25,000 points – once you reach 25, 000 points you just submit your claim for your gift card.  At first I thought 25,000 points was one heck of a lot and that I’d never get my gift card, but I actually got the points pretty quickly – I joined in May and claimed a $25 card at the start of October. 🙂

Here are some details about how Netwinner works from their site: “After registration, you can begin winning! Pick 4 two digit numbers and 1 one digit bonus number and click the WIN!!! button. The game automatically checks your picks against all 9 simultaneous ways to win and immediately notifies if you won. Win cash or points and it’s always FREE TO PLAY.”   I always use the quick pick button when I play since its faster, but you can also select your own numbers if you want.

Netwinner also has instant win prizes (i.e. instant win of a $25 gift card) that some people on our forum have won.  So overall its definitely worth signing up for.  Even if you only make a couple spins a day/week your not out anything since its free and your points will keep adding up.  Of course the more you spin, the more you win and the quicker you’ll receive a free gift card! 🙂

Happy spinning everyone and good luck – I’m looking forward to reading about all your wins in the comments!

Prue

EDIT: Oh and you also get points for referring people – so be sure to send your sign up link to people so you can get more points and get your card even faster! Also, if the people you refer verify their email addresses, you also get 10% of what they win everytime they win. 🙂

Free Canadian Stuff: How to order free shipping supplies from Canada Post

Thanks lobeau for this awesome info 🙂

Little-known fact:

Canada Post supplies FREE clear-plastic self-adhesive label pouches (known as Labelopes) for housing printed mailing labels

How to order free shipping supplies from CanadaPost.ca

and FREE plastic 16 x 12″ mailing envelopes (known as eBay Paks)

Free Canadian Stuff: How to order free shipping supplies from Canada Post

to Canadian eBay Sellers!

Even my local post office did not know this!

There are 2 ways to get them: at your post office or via Canada Post’s website.

I consider myself resourceful and computer savvy, but I had the HARDEST time finding these supplies! First, my post office had no knowledge of such free items. Then, a second post office was able to provide me with Labelopes, but not the eBay Pak, and the case was the same with a third post office. I then decided to try to order them on line – well, not an easy task. So I am writing this guide to save fellow Canadian Sellers all the time and efforts I had to deploy to attain this goal.

  1. You will need a Canada Post VentureOne customer number, if you do not already have one. Enter the CanadaPost.ca website and go to VentureOne: Savings for Small Business located under the Business section and click on “SIGN ME UP NOW!“. Fill in the form to register. You will receive a member’s card within 3 to 4 weeks through the mail, but in the meantime, you can ask for your customer number by calling their Help Centre at 1-877-262-5762.
  2. Once you have your customer number, you will have to create a UserID and Password. On the CanadaPost.ca homepage, click on Login to Business Centre under the Business section: you will then find a place where to click when you need a new UserID. Enter your Canada Post Customer Number (no agreement number required) and go on to create your UserID (5 to 10 characters) and Password (5 to 8 characters).
  3. You are now ready to shop. Just go again to Login to Business Centre. Once you are logged in, click on “Store – Order Products and Supplies“.
  4. You will find the 2 items listed under eBay Shipping Supplies – eBay Supplies. At the time of this posting, they read as follows:

    – eBay Pak, Product # 533086682, $0.20 (Note: they need to be ordered by multiples of 25)
    – Int’l Labelope, Product # 520012555, $0.07

DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE PRICES!!! THESE ARE FREE. Just enter the quantity you require and add them to your shopping cart. You will see that they show at $0.00 when you view your cart.
