Hot Canada Deals

Lancome Canada has a free gift with purchase offer on right now, that will only be available for a limited time (or while supplies lasts). To qualify for this free gift, which is valued to be worth $138, you will first have to spend a minimum of $50 on any products online at Lancome Canada, and you will then have to enter the promo code, MAR15, at the checkout.

Your 7-piece gift from Lancome is quite a nice one, as it has a sampling of products, in my opinion, that you would use quite regularly (e.g. mascara, juicy tube, and eyeshadow). Though the beauty goodies do not come in a full-size, the teaser sizes give you a chance to try out a certain product and perhaps introduce you to something that you would otherwise not have felt obliged to trying out.
The 7-piece gift from Lancome will include:
- a mini Hypnose Star Mascara
- Flash bronzer, in 60mL
- Visionnaire LR 2412 -CX, in 7mL
- Bi-Facil, in 50mL
- Juicy Tube
- a colour design palette
- and a Lancome Cosmetic Bag

After adding a qualifying amount of Lancome product to my bag, I was also able to add-on two free sample at checkout. These three samples that you got to choose from included:
- City Miracle CC Cream
- Dreamtone 01
- and Visionnaire Cream
These samples were much smaller than the ones you will receive in your 7-piece gift from Lancome, but it’s still nice to receive bonus freebies!
Lancome Canada will also be offering free-shipping on all orders that exceed $50, but only until March 16th.

Aeropostale Canada and p.s. from Aeropostale are having a spring break sale that will have you, or at least your kids, shouting from the roof tops with excitement, as they have recently reduced all of their spring break products (like dresses, skirts, tank tops and shorts) by up to 70% off. They are also offering an extra 30% off on already reduced clearance stock when you enter the promo code, EXTRA30, at the checkout. I however seem to be having some difficulty getting this code to work, but if you are able to use it, note that the code will only be valid for a limited time.

Even if you’re just shopping within the newly reduced spring break collection, you’re bound to find some super hot deals. For instance, I was able to pick up this stripey sailer-esque tee for just $6, though it would normally be sold for $19.50.

There are also some rather cute and inexpensive flirty summer dresses and skirts being sold in the spring break sale from Aeropostale. Pieces like this Ikat Crochet Slip Dress are on sale for just $27.25, though it would normally be sold for $54.50.

Boys shouldn’t feel left out of this sale either, as there are plenty of great markdowns on staples pieces like graphic tees and summer time tanks. This striped pocket tank is currently on sale for just $6, though it was regularly sold for $22.50. You can also pick up select graphic tees for the same great price, though most of them will come in at around $10.

I’ve also included a link to the Aeropostale and p.s. from Aeropostale size chart, as I recall last time that we posted about Aeropostale there was some confusion regarding how the clothes from the site would fit.
Aeropostale Canada offers free-shipping on orders that exceed $50, otherwise it will be a shipping fee of $7 USD.

Technology is constantly updating to help us navigate ourselves through an increasingly more difficult to navigate world, old maps aren’t quite what they used to be with infrastructure and highways always changing. Which is why apps like the TomTom GPS Navigation Traffic app for Android would be such a savvy investment for those of us who travel both locally and internationally, as TomTom has the most recently updated maps for over 100 countries.

Even better, for those of us who find ourselves in foreign countries outside of our cellphone coverage, you needn’t worry about not being able to reference your map as TomTom offers all of their maps to be downloaded so that you may access them in offline mode. TomTom will also always offer you the fastest route of getting somewhere as it can track real time traffic, providing you with accurate updates about any potential delays.

TomTom GPS Navigation app will only cost old TomTom app holders $0.99 to upgrade to the newer model, but for those of you who are currently without a TomTom app it will cost $22 CAD for 1-year subscription and $52 for a 3-year subscription. Everyone, however, will receive 75km of FREE coverage with TomTom per month when you are testing it out before purchasing the app, an offer which very few app retailers supply.

The Children’s Place Canada is offering you the chance to save an extra 25% off sitewide and storewide when you bring in your saving pass between March 11th and Tuesday, March 17th.

This pass will guarantee you a discount on everything in-store and online at the Children’s Place, including their clearance stock (which has already been reduced by up to 50% off the regular price). If you are shopping online, you won’t have to present the 25% off coupon but you will have to enter the promo code, 25OFF3 at the checkout.

If you are tired of looking through the old clearance stock at the Children’s Place, you can still stand to stack your savings a fair amount within the new stock. For instance, this floral lace skater dress was originally being sold for $34.95, but has recently been reduced to $24.47. When you apply the extra 25% off to the dress, however, it will only cost you $18.35 (and that’s for a new dress!)

Alternatively, if you are willing to dig a little through the clearance section you will also be allowed to use your 25% off savings pass on this already reduced stock. I was able to find this boy’s Oxford shirt in a brilliant social coral colour for just $8.99, though it had previously been reduced to $11.99 from $24.95.
The Children’s Place Canada offers a standard shipping rate of $8, but this savings pass of 25% off can also be used in-store.

This VTech Safe and Sound Full Colour Video and Audio Monitor is currently on sale at Amazon.ca for 25% off the regular price, as it is now being sold for just $112.49 (was $149.99). This high-resolution LCD display can be placed within a 1,000 foot operating range, which will allow you to capture every wink and nod of your baby in precise detail from almost anywhere in your home.

The adjustable camera can be mounted on the wall in your baby’s room, or can be safely placed inside their crib, so that you can choose the exact angle and zoom at which you’d like to view your child’s room at. The colour monitor that you will hold on your end has a 2.8-inch LCD display screen, so your picture will come through with perfect clarity.

An added feature about the VTech Safe and Sound Full Colour Video and Audio Monitor is that it is not a one-way communicating device, as mom or dad will be able to talk through an intercom device installed on the parent monitor device. You will also have the option to play 1 of 5 possible soothing lullabies on the child’s camera.
Amazon.ca will ship this item to your home for free, as it is above the $25 minimum.

Before the park opens up to the general public on May 3rd, 2015, Canada’s Wonderland will be running pre-season corporate days if you’re a family or friend of BMO, RBC, or Scotiabank employee. The prices start as low as $21.95 for an adult single-day ticket, and can be combined with an all-you-can-eat meal ticket for just $12.99. Seeing as a regular front gate ticket normally costs $62 for an adult’s one-day admission, you will be saving close to $40 if you’re able to take advantage of one of the corporate family and friends events.

The prices and the dates of the three different corporate days from Canada’s Wonderland will be offered in the following price brackets:
BMO-Saturday, April 25th
- one-day general admission early-bird adult ticket, $21.95
- two-day adult ticket, with second use being valid between May 3rd-June 30th, only $34.95
Scotiabank-Sunday, April 26th
- one-day general admission early-bird adult ticket, $21.95
- two-day adult ticket, with second use being valid between May 3rd-June 30th, only $34.95
RBC-Saturday, May 2nd
- one-day general admission early-bird ticket, $23.99
- two-day adult ticket, with second use being valid between May 3rd-June 30th, only $36.99

For those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to know one of the corporate employees involved in the Family and Friends pre-season offer, then we can opt to get a full-season pass for just $69.99. Considering an at the front of gate ticket will cost you about $62, this ticket will already pay for itself in less than two visits. Of course this deal will only apply to you if you do intend on visiting Canada’s Wonderland more than once this season, otherwise it’d be best to stick with purchasing your tickets in advance online, or waiting till the end of the season for the reduced fares.

Bouclair Home Canada is having a spend more, save more event this weekend where you can save up to $50 off on your total purchase, either online or in-store, when you spend $200 or more. You will also have the chance to save a little extra if you spend a little less, as you will be able to save $20 off your total purchase when you spend between $100 and $199. This offer will only be available for this weekend, as it ends on Sunday, March 15th.

Since there are no restrictions on this offer from Bouclair Home, except that you must spend the minimum qualifying amount of $100/$200, I thought it would be best to check out the sale section, specifically the bedding sale selection. In this section, I was able to find a full 3-pice duvet cover set in a queen size for just $64.99 (was $79.99).

To finish off the bedding makeover that I had began with the Bouclair Home duvet cover set, I thought it would only be natural to add s sheet set, like this 200 thread count 4-piece sheet set, which would only add an extra $41.99 to my total. Normally, my overall total for these purchases would be $106.98, but with the $20 off promo going on at Bouclair Home I was able to pick the two sets up for $86.98.
If you are shopping in-store at Bouclair Home, you will have to present this coupon upon paying for your purchase, but if you’re shopping online you will simply have to enter the promo code, TRENDSFORSPRING20. Alternatively, if your total exceeds the $200 minimum you will have to enter the similar promo code, TRENDSFORSPRING50.

With the snow finally beginning to melt of our doorsteps and verandas, it is now time to start looking ahead to when you may finally be able to break out some of those decorative front porch accessories that you’ve been hiding away in the basement. If you find that your old stock of front porch decor is lacking in a doormat, then you may want to check out the selection of coir doormats at Kitchen Stuff Plus Canada right now as they have regular priced ones on sale for 50% off.

Kitchen Stuff Plus Canada will be offering this amazing sale on full price doormats until March 22nd, and you will be able to shop the sale both in-store and online. If you choose to shop in-store, however, be sure to use this printable coupon as you will need to present it to qualify for the 50% off (online shoppers will have to use the promo code, KSP269, to receive their discount).

Most of these mats from the Kitchen Stuff Plus collection measure 45cm in width by 75cm in length and there are over 19 different patterns to choose from. I personally like the Elephant Coir mat as it is both playful and practical as it will prevent dirt from being tracked within your home.
The coir mats are made of coconut fibre, making the durable for all weather types and they are currently being sold for $14.99, but will be further reduced to $7.99 with your promo code/coupon.

When shopping online or in-store at Aldo Shoes Canada, you should bear in mind that for this weekend only they will be offering 25% off on all regular priced handbags and accessories. I find one of the easiest, and most inexpensive, tricks to staying on-trend throughout the seasons is not to buy overpriced one-wear pieces (like ultra-wide leg gauchos or cut-out dresses), but rather to pick up new accessories that will give your wardrobe an instant update while still saving yourself some extra cash.

One of the bigger trends for the spring is a combination of lighter colours (think pastels and white) with colour blocking. I thought this mint, yellow and black colour blocked bucket bag would be a perfect addition for this season. I especially like the convenience of having a draw string closure so you can easily access the insides of your wallet, yet since this bag is also designed to be worn as a cross-body that is close to your torso, you won’t have to worry about someone else sneaking in your bag and also ‘easily accessing’ your personal items. The bag is normally sold for $50, but you can pick it up with the promo code, HBACC25, for just $37.50.

Another fun option for the spring time is to add a trendy but practical backpack to your lineup, like this trendy Bosis backpack which features easily adjustable straps along with a convenient top-handle for when you’d rather not lug around your bag on your back. The backpack is selling right now for $50 also, meaning with the 25% off it will only be $37.50.

If you’re looking for a smaller infusion of spring into your wardrobe, then you can also apply this 25% off discount to the accessories and wallets department at Aldo. I thought this floral Gartley wallet would make for a fun addition, and it would also be wise investment as it features a top-zipper with several compartments to hold your ID, credit cards and gift cards. The wallet is currently being sold for $30, but with the extra 25% off it will be reduced to being just $22.50.
Aldo Canada offers free-shipping on orders that exceed $70, otherwise they will charge you an additional shipping fee of $5.

Amazon.ca is selling an Xbox One Wireless Controller right now for $20 off the regular price, as it is now being sold for the reduced price of $39.99. Since this is being sold through Amazon.ca, and it is also above $25, you will be able to order this controller with the free-shipping offer from Amazon as well.

If you’d rather not buy your controller online, and would like to take a chance on the stock availability at Future Shop Canada, then starting this Friday you will also be able to purchase the Xbox One Wireless Controller from Future Shop for $20 off the regular price, at just $39.99. If you check out this week’s flyer from Future Shop, you will be able to see that both the Wireless Controller and the game Watchdogs will be on sale for $20 off their regular prices, with Watchdog’s coming in just under $20 at $19.99.

No matter which retailer you purchase the Xbox One Wireless Controller from, you shouldn’t be paying more than $39.99Â this week as that seems to be the lowest price tag available at the moment.

Another big-box Canadian retailer has bit the dust, and this time it’s one of our favourites here at Smart Canucks. Tiger Direct Canada has decided to close their doors on 31 of their 35 retail stores, with the only open locations remaining being in the United States. Apparently, the company Gordon Brothers has taken over the liquidation of their stock, and they have begun the clearance sale today.

You will be able to find markdowns at Tiger Direct on everything from PC accessories (like cables and keyboards), to bigger ticket items, like laptop and TVs. The discounts will initially start out small, as is common for liquidation sales, but will increase weekly until they finally hit the 90% off mark.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on the markdowns going on at Tiger Direct so that you can stay in the loop on their hottest deals.
Are you surprised to see Tiger Direct go, and will any of you be jumping on the going-out-of-business sales?

One of my favourite things to do with the change of seasons is to invest in a new scented candle that accompanies and complements the new aromas of the year. At Ikea Canada this weekend, you will be able to stock up on a new scent for your home to welcome in the spring season as they are having a sale where all scented candles are 30% off.

The scented candles event at Ikea will only be available to in-store shoppers from March 12th until Sunday, March 15th, and you will be limited to 10 candles per person (which is still a lot of candles if you ask me!) While you can’t order the candles online, you can still browse through the candle sale to get an idea of the sort of deals going on this weekend. For instance, you can pick up a pack of 3 Bracka scented candles in glass for just $4.19 (normally $5.99). What I personally like about getting your candles in little glass jars like the Bracka set, is that after the candle has burned away, you can re-use the glass jar as a tea-light to hold other candles.

If you don’t already have a local Irish pub that you plan on hitting up this Tuesday, March 17th, more commonly known as St. Patrick’s Day, then I’d suggest you  consider giving Kelsey’s Canada a try for at least one of your pit stops throughout the day. This Tuesday, Kelsey’s will be celebrating the green holiday by offering customers cans of tall boys for $4.50 each, and they will be running this offer from the time they open their doors till they kick you out for last call.

In addition to this special St. Patrick’s Day offer, Kelsey’s will also be continuing with their weekly special on Tuesday night where you can get 2 spiked snow kones and 2 appetizers for just $20. For appetizers, you will have the choice of cheese n’ bacon potato skins, mmmmoozzarella bread, large caesar salad or spinach dip. These appetizers and snow cones will certainly agree with your stomach, especially after a long day of drinking; the greasy potato skins would be my go to!

This hot offer from the Microsoft Store Canada, where you can pick up any Xbox One console for $30 off the regular price and also receive a free copy of Titanfall and any 2nd game of your choice for free, will only be available for one week, as the offer will expire on March 19th.

Though the offer may expire next Thursday, I doubt that Microsoft will be able to keep the stock (especially of the second free game) fully available to shoppers until then. The selection of games will include hot offers like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (regularly $69.99) and Forza Motorsport 5 Game of the Year Edition (regularly $49.99). And since you can pick up an Xbox One console for as little as $369 (regularly $399), you could pick up a bundle that’s worth up to $498.98 (as Titanfall normally retails for about $29.99) for as little as $369, saving you a total of $129.98.

The availability of Xbox One consoles that you can choose from at Microsoft with this hot deal included are:

Another hot offer going on at the Microsoft Store is on this Acer Aspire E 14 ES1-411-C507 Signature Edition Laptop, which is currently being sold for the lowly price of $249. This laptop would be ideal for someone who needs a PC for general work, as there is only 2GB of memory, but there is a spacious 14-inch display screen.
The Microsoft Store offers free-shipping on all orders with no minimum purchase required.

GLOBO Shoes Canada is having a massive sale sitewide, where you can save on both new stock from the spring collection and old stock from the winter collection. For those of you who simply cannot wait to break out into your espadrilles and flip-flops, you can shop within the women’s sandal sale, where pairs of wedges and slip-ons are starting as low as $9.98.

If you’re like me, and can’t wait to step into a beautifully woven pair of chunky wedges this spring, then you’ll be excited to learn that a pair like these braid-crossing strap Katina shoes are being sold for just $9.97Â (regularly $39.99).

For those days when the inevitable monsoon like rain comes this spring, you may want to tuck away your strappy sandals and sub in a pair of Lauricette rain boots (now just $29.98). I personally love the look of these delightful yellow rain boots, as I feel that it would be almost impossible not to crack a smile when throwing these on (even on the gloomiest of Monday mornings), but if you prefer a more subdued colour, you can also pick these boots up in a crimson red, navy, black, purple and forrest green for just $30 (was $59.99).

As I said the deals going on at GLOBO are suitable for the entire family, from little boys and girls to adult men and women. I was able to find within the March Break flyer (which will be available until March 15th) these adorable and rustic Rojan girls’ combat boots for just $29.98 (was $39.99). Or, if you’d like to find boots priced even more impressively, but not quite as seasonably appropriate, you can shop within the winter boots clearance sale where there are discounts to be found for 50% off the regular price.
GLOBO Shoes offers free-shipping on all orders that exceed $50, or if you’re below this limit the standard fee will be a not too lofty fee of $5.
