The grocery rollback deals at Walmart Canada are pairing two of my childhood favourites this week, that is Campbell’s Condensed Soup and Mr. Christie’s Oreos. While the two have not traditionally gone together, say like grilled cheese and tomato soup or cookies and milk, I think this new food fusion would make for a perfect new pairing for the 21st century child (or even self confessed child at heart)

You’ll perhaps remember the other day when we posted about the deal going on at the Microsoft Store Canada, where you could pick up a refurbished Xbox One with Kinect plus two bonus download games and the bonus game Evolve for just $359.99. While I still stand by my statement that this was a good deal, there is a similar offer running at The Source Canada right now that could stand to dethrone the former as being the better of the two – depending upon what your needs and wants are.
The offer that Source is running, which will be available online until February 19th, is on the Xbox One 500GB Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with the bonus Evolve game for just $399.99. While this offer is $50 more than the Microsoft Store’s offer, and this bundle won’t include the Kinect Sensor, it will include two downloads of this year’s hottest games, Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Seeing as each of these games will cost you anywhere between $39-$59, you could be saving yourself (if you don’t already own these games that is) at the very minimum $28, but that’s only if you are able to find both games for $39, which you will be hard pressed to find at this time of year.

On your next trip to your local Costco Canada, whether you’re planning on making one this weekend or in the next week, then you should check their electronics department to see if they too are selling this Honeywell Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat for the amazingly low price of $69.97. There has been sightings of this price at some local Costco’s in Ontario, but we cannot confirm that this price will be available at all locations, nor that it will still be in-stock (seeing as it is just under $70!)

Today’s Hammer Drop deal at the Home Depot Canada, which will only be around for approximately 13 more hours (as it ends at 11:59pm EST each day), is on the Worldwide Home Furnishings Inc. Eiffel Bench. The functional and attractive front foyer bench is normally sold for $195, but can be purchased for today only at just $99.
As far as benches go, this is a rather decent price for a really quite atheistically appealing piece of furniture. The Hudson’s Bay Canada, one of my personal favourite department stores, not only for their prices, but also for their wide selection of designer brand names which are (usually) brought down to more palatable prices than what you will find elsewhere (or even online). Today’s deal, the 35% off on select women’s tops sale, is no different on the theme of saving you money while looking super stylish while doing so.
The best tops for this season, as you may have season on the runways this past fall, are the voluminous and lightweight seventies style blouses. Think big, soft sleeves, that nip in at the wrist to give you a more feminine “Saturday Night Fever”-esque look. This Sam Edelman Floral Print Top hits right on trend, with the 3/4 length sleeves flirting with the full on seventies look, and the back button detail adding a subtle delicacy to the overall look. The top was normally being sold for $99, but has just been brought down for today to $64.35.
This Jessica Simpson tunic is also trying out the bigger sleeved look, but is adding an infusion of modernism to the look by applying a sheer fabric to the blouse which is further emphasized by the double barrel cuffs. Normally, a tunic like this would sell for $54, but right now can be purchased for just $35.10.
If you’re not as willing to plunge head first into the seventies full-figure blouse trend, and are more attuned to sticking with the ‘classics’, then you can still play up your wardrobe this spring with a faux layering shirt, like this Tommy Hilfiger Striped top. The shirt seems to have the effect of two shirts being layered, but is in fact just one shirt with an underlay of fabric to give the appearance. This is great since a) it usually doesn’t look this good when you do your own layering and b) you will only have to buy one shirt, but will gain the look of having two tops. Normally, this top would cost $99.50, but is currently on sale for just $64.48.
