Yep, I was there last night and its 50% off original prices, the signs in the store say original prices as well…not nice considering i went in on the pretense of getting 50% off lst ticketed price. Oh well, still got some good deals 🙂

Problem is … you buy stuff before Christmas, but have to wait until Dec. 29 to exchange anything. By that point, all the stock is gone and whatever you bought before cannot be exchanged for a different size. EVERYTHING IS GONE!!! Only things left are in size XSmall or Small. They won’t even give you a store credit. You MUST exchange one item for another. Good luck if you want to exchange anything you bought on 50% Off!
good luck taking things back for your cash, wrong size and none to replace. very smart buy saying everything is on sale so no one can get their money. against the law? hmmm.

I purchased several articals of clothing during the boxing week sale at the Mexx store in the Dixie Outlet Mall in Toronto. The signs in the store said ” take an extra 50% off lowest ticked price”. Every artical of clothing had a red sale sticker on it so I assumed this was the lowest ticked price. After arriving home with my purchases, I picked off the red stickers (just curious as to what the original prices were) and found under that sticker another sticker that was 50% lower that the red sticker price. I found these stickers on every single piece of clothing. The store had covered the sale stickers with a red sticker marked up 50%. In fact the lowest sticher price on each tag was hiden by the red sale sticker. Had I been smart I would have checked before I left the store and demanded the 50% off the truly lower sticker. This is blatent screwing of the customer. Incredibly bad business practice. I have changed my opinion of Mexx.
I’ve been working with Mexx for over 5 years and no offense but most shoppers only believe what they want to believe (and it is clear from this thread). I will tell them that it is half off the regular price, not the sale price, yet they still believe it’s an additional 50% off the sale price when they get to the cash register, and then throw a hissy fit at our poor managers and cashiers. I’m not too sure about the person with the incident at Dixie Mall, but in the past 5 years, I’ve never seen Mexx have an additional 50% off sale price…it’s always been half off the regular price…
I went in today to the 50% ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING sale at Mexx and they wouldn’t give me the 50% off the tie I bought. So it’s clearly NOT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING which I find to be blatant false advertising as there is nothing on their posters or advertising to indicate exceptions. Last time I shop there.

I went to Mexx looking for a particular style of pants. I didn’t find any on the racks but on my way out I saw a mannequin wearing the pair I wanted. I asked the lady where they were and she said they were in the back and they were on the excluded list meaning I had to pay full price! I bought 3 pairs at full price but still feel I deserve the discount. I took a video of the mannequin wearing the pants right beside one of the sale signs. After emailing mexx headquarters they basically just said sorry. I emailed back and said I still feel I deserve the discount. They then said I could have the pair on the mannequin at the discount if it was the size I wanted. I have now filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and with Alberta Consumer Services.
