Today at Walmart Canada, you can find some rather hot deals from their clearance section, whether you’re limiting that search to within the home department or you’re making your way over to the electrics section. For instance, I was able to find this Hamilton Beach All Metal Stand Mixer on sale right now for $100 off its original listing, as it is now just $129 (was $229.97).

The Hamilton Beach All Metal Stand Mixer is one of the largest stand mixers that you will find at this price point, as it includes a 4.5 quart metal bowl that can use up to 12 different mixing speeds. To put it in perspective of just how great a deal this is, I decided to compare Walmart’s price with other popular Hamilton Beach retailers. Amazon.ca was selling the same model for $296.41, while Shop.ca was selling the next size down (the 3.5 quart bowl with 6 different speed settings) for about $25 more than Walmart was, at $154.99.

Another hot deal found within the Walmart clearance deals section, that is much more affordable than investing in a Hamilton Beach stand mixer, were these Fuse iPhone 5 and 5S covers. Normally these covers are sold for $14.98, but right now they can be purchased for just $3. The cases are a simple design, but when you’re only paying $3 for them you really can’t complain about the aesthetics of the phone cases, so long as they do the job of protecting your phone.

While it may not be spring break season anymore, that doesn’t mean that you can’t book yourself a little south of the border retreat for now, especially when the deals being offered by airlines like Air Canada Vacations are this hot. If you’re free for a week or so during the month of June, you may want to look into this deal from Air Canada that will fly you to and from George Town, Bahamas – roundtrip – for less than $200!

It appears that the only dates that you can snag this hot ticket price for a trip from Toronto to George Town is with departures dates in June, starting on June 2nd, and return dates up until June 30th. Before and after these departure and return dates, the price of the roundtrip tickets shoot back up to $693!

Seeing as airfare is not the only cost to take into consideration when traveling, I also found some deals on Groupon for resorts in George Town. Seeing as you’ll be saving a fare chunk of change on airfare, you could use that to justify spending a little bit more on accommodation. For instance, this Grand Isle Resort and Spa package from Groupon is currently being sold for $244/night, though normally you would have to pay $472/night.

This is just one example of the kind of accommodation you could find while staying in George Town, and I’m sure if you spent more time digging you could find an even better deal than this one.

Here is a great little booklet I picked up yesterday at Fortino’s, containing not one, but THREE mail in rebates for different Finish products. I would imagine that this booklet would be widely available, so be sure to keep an eye out for it. Inside the booklet, there are three official refund forms for the following Finish products:

• Finish Jet-Dry or Quantum Jet Dry 200ml or Larger (save up to $6)
• Finish Dishwasher Cleaner (save up to $6)
• Finish Dishwasher Freshener (save up to $6)

For each of the available rebates, purchases must be made before June the 5th, 2015, and requests for refunds must be received on or before July the 5th. It appears that this booklet has been available since the end of April, however this is certainly new to where I have been shopping, so you may just find it now as well.

Up to $6 will be refunded for each product, and this is to cover the purchase price, taxes, and postage. You must submit the form with the original dated register receipt, with the UPC recorded on the receipt.

On Saturday, June 13th at 3:30pm, you can check out a free screening of the award winning Canadian documentary, Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance at the TIFF Lightbox theatre. This film was the first documentary at the Toronto Film Festival to win the Best Canadian Feature award when it premiered at the festival in 1993, even after it was initially rejected from being shown on CBC television.

The documentary follows the stand-off between Mohawk activists and the Canadian government during a land dispute the two rivals had in 1990. After the proposal for a golf course in Oka, Quebec was put forth, there followed a 78 day standoff between the two sides, all of which was documented closely by Alanis Obomsawin.

Though this movie is being screened for free at the TIFF Lightbox, the tickets will only go on sale 2-hours before the event and each person will be limited to one ticket each.
