While hockey, football and basketball season are winding down for the year, soccer is in full swing and if you’re cheering for Canadian teams, like the Toronto TFC, then you’ll want some fan gear (preferably inexpensive, as the game alone can be pretty pricey) to help show your support. Giant Tiger has a really great deal on Lactantia cream beginning June the 3rd, and the deal is even better if you happen to have the right tear pad coupon to pair with the sale. Lactantia Cream, in the 473ml container size, will be priced at just $1 for the week beginning June 3rd. The regular price is $2.49, so you are already saving more than 50%.

There is a tear pad coupon that was out, maybe a couple of months ago, for 50 cents off the purchase of the Lactantia cream in the 1L or 473ml format. If you are lucky enough to have that coupon in your stash, the cream is yours for just 50 cents!

There is a limit of one per purchase on the coupon, but keep in mind that the limit at Giant Tiger is three per purchase. The coupon deal of the week from Safeway Canada is going to be around for quite a few days, though with their coupon offering such a steep discount on bacon, I suspect that most stores will sell out the qualifying products fairly quickly. The coupon, which will be available until June 4th, will save you a total of $2.80 off on Compliments Sliced Side Bacon making it only cost you $3.99/500g package. You will have three different varieties of bacon to use choose from, including: regular, maple or low salt.

You will be limited to one coupon per paying customer and you will not be allowed to stack this coupon with any other offer or promotion going on in-store.

Live in the Toronto area and looking for a new furry friend?  Toronto Humane and Toronto Animal Services have teamed up with PetSmart Charities again for a mega adoption even this weekend.

All pet adoption fees will be $25 and include having your pet spay/neutered and vaccinated.  Anyone who has a pet knows that this can be very costly if you bring home a “free to a good home” kitten or puppy, especially at city vet prices so this is a great deal.

You can adopt if you are not a Toronto resident, and Toronto residents will be required to buy a pet license with their adoption fee ($15-25 and required by city bylaw).  To choose your pet, visit the Mega Pet Adoption Weekend Event at the Queen Elizabeth Building at the Exhibition Place in Toronto taking place June 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Valid ID is required to adopt a pet from either of these groups and there will be over 700 animals available for adoption!

With more coupons only being available to print and not mail to home, many forum members have mentioned issues printing SmartSource coupons recently.  According to SmartSource, often the issue comes from java updates on your computer.  Your computer asks for an update, you click yes, but it does not fully uninstall the old version and some browsers (especially Firefox and Internet Explorer) have issues when there are multiple versions of java installed.

The latest versions of Chrome are not compatible with many coupon printers due to issues with java so you will need to switch to another browser if you use Chrome.

If you have issues printing coupons requiring a coupon printer (SmartSource, Qples etc) try removing java and installing a fresh copy.

• Go to control panel, choose Add/Remove Programs and find Java (it may be listed several times) – choose uninstall/remove
• Java also offer a removal tool to ensure you have removed all versions if that is easier for you
• Go to java.com and install the most recent version for your browser
• Go to their verification page to ensure your browser recognizes the most recent version

Many browsers also block java even when installed properly but you can authorize it for a specific site.

Go to each of the sites you use to print coupons and click the globe beside the URL. Click more information and choose permissions.  Click always allow on Java and you should be able to print your coupons.

That should help you print if you experience issues.  Personally I just print coupon from Opera as I find it has the least issues with the various coupon printer sites.

If the many personalized Optimum offers are not enough for you, we have advance notice of the store promotion next Saturday.  Couponlady has posted in our forums that the flyer for next week shows 18,500 Optimum points when you spend $75 or more on almost anything in the store on Saturday 6th June.

The flyer is a 6 day flyer and ends on Thursday rather than Friday, so keep that in mind if you shop next Friday with a personalized offer.  When shopping, remember that personalized offers with minimum spend requirements (20x when you spend $50 etc) will not combine with a store offer with a minimum purchase, but you can use ones linked to a specific item (20x on Quo products or 2000 on Pampers).
