I am a bit excited to hear that Marshalls will be opening a new store in Mississauga (& Ajax) on April 28th.
I’ve shopped at the Marshalls, cross the border, and it’s more or less the same as Winners, but with cheaper prices! Will these lower, US prices be reflected at their Canadian locations?
So if Marshalls and Winners are essentially the same, why do we need 2 separate stores? They’re both owned by the same company, TJX, so the similarities are inevitable.
(TJX also owns T.J. Maxx, HomeSense, StyleSense, and a few others that I have never heard of.)
There are already 3 locations in the GTA. So for readers who have already gone, what do you think?

Michaels is having a fantastic sale this weekend. On Friday save 50% on on regular priced item. Regular exclusions apply, such as not valid on very much (haha). On Saturday save 30% off on your entire regularly priced purchase.
I didn’t think that many stores were open on Good Friday. Has this changed?

There are some crazy cheap deals over at Folica.com. They have flat iron bonus sets for well under $100. Some of these straightners are top rated and list for over $200 for the iron alone. I also found a $25 off code. Simply enter “APRIL25” at checkout. Shipping is $19.99 to Canada, but the great discount code makes up for it. I figure even if I get charged duty, I am still laughing because this one Sedu straightner alone is super expensive in Canada. I wish my friend was up still, because shes been in the market for a new flat iron.
Garage.ca is offering our readers free shipping on any sized order until May 31st!Click here to access this offer and shop online at Garage.ca. This is a savings of $9! I find the clothes are more geared towards teenagers/young women. Some of the shorts are way too short for my liking lol!
Edit* I’ve noticed some comments discrediting this deal. This deal is an EXCLUSIVE deal for free shipping! Below is the screen shot.
This Saturday in-store only Old Navy is offering all their polos for only $6! An awesome deal for sure.

McDonald’s Dollar Drink Days are back! From April 19 to September 6th get any sized soft drink for only ONE DOLLAR! This includes the iced coffee! Mmmnnnn.
This was SO handy whenever my kids were spontaneously thirsty in the car… or when I got a crazy craving for an Iced Tea in the hot weather!
Consider this your “reminder” for this Easter weekend’s FCUK/Triumph Warehouse Sale that is taking place at the International Centre!
Both events are taking place in Hall 6. Tons of free parking available which is a bonus for sales happening in the ‘burbs.
Although the selection isn’t as great, I always go on the last day/hours when things are even further reduced because they don’t want to re-pack ’em! It’s a good strategy if you don’t “need” anything.
***Further Discount: If you donate $2 to the Red Cross Japan Tsunami Relief Fund you’ll receive 10% off any day of the FCUK Warehouse Sale! Cannot be used in FCUK stores or with any other promos.
You have to donate via this DealDemocracy link, then print off the coupon, by Friday to donate/qualify for additional 10% off. 100% of all the proceeds to towards supporting victims of Japan’s earthquake/tsunami.***
Now that gas is at an all-time high and hydro is sky-rocketing, $2 is really just pocket change. Plus it goes towards a good cause!
To get my money’s worth, I think I may do a combination of last day + the added 10% off coupon! 😉

On April 22nd to celebrate Earth Day Starbucks is offering a free coffee or tea when you bring in your reusable mug. They’ve offered this freebie for quite a few years now and it’s a great incentive to reuse your mug. Is there anything special you will do on Earth Day? I was thinking I might get dressed before noon and go work on my garden.
