Purina’s My Kitten program is giving out free product coupons with the registration of your kitten.  The mykitten kit includes a coupon for a Free Maxx Kitty Kitty Litter (large plastic tub), a free medium sized bag of kitten food and a stainless steal red heart kitten tag.  This program has been around for a while but they would only send a coupon for free kitten food and some informational material.  The new kitten package sounds great!

The also have a My Puppy program.  I’ve gotten this one before and I got a coupon for a free medium size bag of puppy food.  Maybe they have an additional freebie for this one too now.

If you don’t have a kitten, this would be a really nice way to make a donation to your local animal shelter.  They can always use litter and pet food!

None of us wants to lose our pet so lets make it easier to get them back if they do wander off.  You can register your pets with the Humane Society and they will send you a FREE pet tag with your pet’s name and your contact information.   There is also a unique id number and toll free phone number on the tag that can be used if your pet is found anywhere in Canada or the U.S.  This is a great way to help get your pet back to you if they get lost and it’s free!

I did this a couple of years ago for my old dog and forgot about it when I got my new one so I’ve registered her and am awaiting her tag.  It may take a little time but they do come.

I was walking to the main post office in Kingston a few of days ago which was coincidentally beside one of the vaccination clinics. The lineups for the H1N1 vaccine were so long and looked so depressing. Thank goodness I don’t believe in whole H1N1 hype 😛

According to Brenda Parres, a spokesperson for the office tower, the Waterfall Stage venue on the building’s concourse level can accommodate about 2,000 spectators. As yet, there is no plan to distribute tickets. Generally, the shows at the Waterfall Stage are free and fully open to the public and passers-by.

The video of the Scot’s April, 2009 performance on Britain’s Got Talent has been viewed 300 million times. Her self-deprecating manner and ugly-duckling persona immediately won her a legion of fans.

Since winning overnight acclaim, Boyle has been hospitalized for exhaustion and, in large part, shunned the limelight. She has reportedly done so to preserve her voice for her first album, I Dreamed a Dream.

That album will be released Nov. 23. Three days later, Boyle will perform at 12:15 p.m. on the Waterfall Stage. Afterward, she will sign autographs and greet fans.

This decade is almost over!  We’re less than two months away from a new decade and this makes me wonder what this decade will be called. We called the decade from 1980 to 1989 the Eighties (80s), 1990 to 1999 the Nineties (90s). The next decade 2010 to 2019 will be called the Teens. But what about the decade we’re in right now? What will 2000 to 2009 be called? The Zeros? that just doesn’t sound right. Any ideas?
