Today’s deal is the Kingston 1GB Secure Digital Card for $49.99 $14.99.
You can buy 1GB SD cards for $14.99 at many stores now so this deal isn’t that great. This SD card is well known for its high quality and is reliable enough for use in digital cameras and data critical devices. I wish the sale price was slightly lower.

Thanks Leslie for pointing this out:
I just found out that this is an error after going to two stores to stock up for the price adjustment- they already have the little signs in the stores with the correction notice. It’s lame: the correction notice says that the sale is actually just for Zelda $40 for Wii and Gamecube- I dont know how they could make such a big mistake (trying to suck people into the store?)
It’s unfortunate that this is a pricing error 🙁 HBC headquarters sent out letters to all Zellers stores notifying them of the pricing error so don’t even bother trying.
Our only hope of getting this deal is through price matching 😉 Wake up nice and early on Saturday, grab a copy of Zellers flyer, go to Future Shop and ask them to price match the Zellers’ offer. If it doesn’t work (because they phone Zellers) go to Best Buy, and so on. This may or may not work and the ethics behind doing this is questionable.
At all Canadian Zellers stores:
– Playstation 2 Slim Hardware: 100$ (reg. 130$ ea.)
– Playstation 2 Greatest Hits Games: 20$ (reg. 30$ ea.)
– PSP Greatest Hits Games: 20$ (reg. 25$ ea.)
– Gameboy Advance Player’s Choice Games: 20$ (reg. 25$ ea.)
– Nintendo Wii and GameCube Games: 2/40$ (reg. 59.97$ ea.)

Since this is a promotion offered by Junior Achievement of Canada I think it’s a good opportunity to introduce their program:
We are a growing number of volunteers, educators, parents, and contributors who reach out to 7 million students each year, in grades K-12. Together, we believe there’s a lot that’s right with today’s kids. Kids crave opportunity. Kids want to be successful. And kids dream big about the future. Really big. We like that.

Thanks to Nat who works at Old Navy for always keeping us up-to-date about any event or promotions at Old Navy 🙂
Old Navy are having a contest this week:
Old Navy is having a contest starting the Sat, Mar 17. There are different prizes to be won… trip, jelly beans, discounts etc. I’m not sure exactly how long it goes for (I want to say the 24, but I’m not sure)… at least all this weekend though.
Future Shop is once again having 7 days of web deals. Let’s hope these 7 deals are better than last time. I’ll review each day’s deal on here 🙂
Today’s deal is the Casio 6.0MP Digital Camera (EX-S600) for $349.99 $199.99
For its size and price this is definitely an awesome deal. Now the question is, how good is this camera? Although most people seem to be satisfied with its performance, there is a significant number of complaints about the camera’s picture quality. Scaled down to show on a PC screen pictures seem to look good but once focused in to 100% scale you easily notice that they are slightly blurred and pixelated. This blurriness is barely a problem for novice photographers or for regular daily use.

Bottomline is, if you don’t want to spend more than $199.99 on a camera then this is the right deal for you. But don’t expect extremely high photo quality pictures.

Yes yes yes! This hilarious game is back and it’s even free 🙂
I used to play You Don’t Know Jack during my undergrad years and I’m excited to have it back. My favourite feature “screw another player” is not included but it’s still worth playing!

One of my co-authors over at fjetsam recently posted this video up at theBBPS, and I thought it was just too good to keep a secret.
If the internet has taught me anything, it’s that talent shows are a staple of Japanese TV. In this clip we see a man acting out a game of the arcade classic Breakout (think Arkanoid, only older) using only his mouth and marshmallows. Brilliant!
Wow. This makes deal of the year so far in my books. Any two Wii games, regularly priced at $59.99, for $40. That’s a savings of 80 dollars! This sale is on at Zellers this Saturday only, so get in early if you expect to come home with some decent titles.
Because we’re still so fresh out of launch, there’s not a lot of titles to pick from. You’ve got a few days to think about it before Saturday rolls around, why not take a peek at the complete list of released titles over at MetaCritic.com? MetaCritic compiles the scores of all majors reviews, so you’ll get a good idea of what might be worth your hard-earned money.
I’ll be waiting out in front when they open to grab me some Sonic and the Secret Rings and Excite Truck. This deal also applies to $59.99 GameCube games, though finding any at that price nowadays isn’t as easy as it sounds. Anybody else thinking of picking anything up?
