Recall: Build-A-Bear Workshop Canada’s Starbrights Dragon Choking Hazard

recall

Health Canada is recalling Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Starbrights Dragon for chocking hazard. The satin seam of the stuffed animal can open, allowing the stuffing material to be exposed, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Products with tracking labels 1059337 or 1059459 in Canada (and products with tracking labels 1059333 or 1059334 in the United States) are affected. These numbers can be found on the label sewn on the backside of the leg.

The recalled toys were sold at Build-A-Bear Workshops and sold online at www.buildabear.com between April 24, 2015 and August 19, 2015.

Good luck prying your child’s beloved stuffed animal out of its hands. Especially since, you know, there’s a tiny stuffed heart inside of it that was either put in by them, or someone they love dearly.

Pretty much. I would have resisted giving up a recalled toy too, especially if I made a wish and made it my own.
