The summertime is a wonderful time for family and friends to get together and take part in fun activities, as there is more free time with the kids out of school and not participating in a million different extra curricular activities. That being said, the summertime is also a time when outings with your family can get quite expensive (have you seen the movie ticket prices recently?). The program, Kids Bowl for Free Canada, is designed to help lighten that load for families while still allowing them to participate in some fun and interactive games, such as bowling.

When you register your kids for the Kids Bowl For Free Program, you will begin receiving coupons in your e-mail to the address that you provide upon registration. The program will supply you with enough passes to your local bowling alley for your children to play 2 free games per day all summer long. You will also have the option to opt into the Family Pass, which will allow you to add up to four adult members, each of whom will also be able to play 2 games a day all summer long. The family pass will cost you $26.95, but seeing as your children’s free pass is valued to be worth up to $500, this initial fee of $26.95 will surely be worth it.

Last week we did a post that gave you a basic rundown about what the site, Sample Source Canada, was all about. Part of their promotions for the release of their new samples for the 2015 spring edition has been to leak blurred images of some of the products that we should anticipate to be included in the free samples for this spring.

This past week, Sample Source leaked an image of the above picture with the caption, “Try this tasty mix to your drink for a boost to help replenish and refuel your body!”. There have been a number of leaked images for the past few weeks in building the excitement for the spring 2015 Sample Source release, all of which you can see on their Instagram page here.
Signing-up for Sample Source is free, and I’d suggest you do it so that you can be among some of the first people to be notified about when these free sample package will become available.

If you’re a student at Wilfrid Laurier, and like coffee (as I imagine many of you do), then you’ll be pleased to hear about this offer from the 5 Days for the Homeless campaign where you can receive a $10 Starbucks gift card for just $5. What’s even nicer about this offer, apart from the fact that you’ll essentially be saving 50% off on your coffee purchases, is that the $5 you pay will be matched and donated to Laurier’s 5 Days for the Homeless Campaign, which is a charity that seeks to raise funds and awareness about homeless people.
To receive your $10 Starbucks gift card at half price, you will have to be a Wilfrid Laurier student, as it requires both your name and student number to receive said card. It will take until the end of March for all cards to be mailed out, so be patient with yours.

For today only, Starbucks Canada will be offering their Rewards Members in Canada a chance to pick up a FREE pastry when you purchase any beverage with your registered Starbucks card between 2-5pm today. Starbucks has been running this ‘Raise a Cup to Monday’ promotion for the month of March, offering a new deal for their members each Monday between the hours of 2-5pm.

Signing-up to become a Starbucks Rewards member is easy, simply follow this link and register your Starbucks card (which you can pick up at a local Starbucks cafe) and reload a minimum of $5 onto your card and you can begin qualifying for these freebies and bonuses. Even if you just use the card for this month to receive the next two offers, you’ll still be saving yourself some money (as the pastries at Starbucks do not come cheap!)
You will not be able to use the free pastry offer today on breakfast sandwiches, but other than that everything is fair game. I’d suggest trying out one of the new pastries from the Starbucks La Boulange lineup, as I hear they are quite delectable.

7-Eleven Canada knows how to kick the weekend off just right, as they’re booting us into high gear today with their Bring Your Own Cup slurpee offer. Not only is this offer eco-effecient, but it is also money saving as you can bring in any size cup to a participating 7-Eleven location and pay the flat rate fee of $1.49 for any size slurpee. The offer will be running today only from 11am until 7pm this evening, so you will have almost the entire day to take advantage of this slurpee offer.

There are of course a few rules to this offer, which only makes sense as when stores run promotions where they say you can ‘bring anything’ as your cup, people tend to get a little too creative and sometimes reckless. The restrictions that 7-Eleven is putting on the cups that you can bring in are that they must be within 26cm in diameter and they must also fit the measuring hole that is displayed in each 7-Eleven store. The cups must also be water tight (so no filling up of your purses will be permitted), and a Food Safe container (please don’t try to fill up a previously used hand sanitizer container).
7-Eleven is limiting this offer to one fill up per person today.

The Family and Friends event will possibly be one of the biggest saving events that Aeropostale Canada and p.s. from Aeropostale Canada will run this year, and it will only be around for this weekend only. Starting tonight at 9pm EST and running until Sunday, March 22nd at 11:59pm EST, you will be able to save an extra 30% off on almost everything in-store and online when you enter the promo code, FF15, at the checkout. For in-store shoppers, you will have to present this coupon.

You’ll be allowed to use this extra savings code and coupon on items that have already been marked down as well, meaning that you could be saving, in some cases, up to 70% off the regular price. I was able to combine my savings code to include items from both the new spring collection and the sale section, to create an outfit for just $19.60.

This floral feather graphic tunic from Aeropostale was originally being sold for $18, but was recently reduced to be $14, and these destroyed dark wash jeggings were originally being sold for $49.50, but have now been brought down to just $14. The total of my order, before the family and friends discount, was $28, but with the extra 30% off will be just $19.60. In total, I’ll be saving $47.90 and even when you include the shipping and handling into the order you’ll still be saving close to $40.
Aeropostale Canada offers free-shipping on all orders that exceed $50, so I’d suggest stacking your purchases so that you can get as much bang for your buck during this limited time offer.

This Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd, Shoppers Drug Mart Canada will be having a spend your points event where you can get up to an extra $30 when you spend the qualifying amount of Shoppers Optimum Points.
The first qualifying amount of points you will have to spend at Shoppers Drug Mart is 50,000 points, which will give you up to $100 off. By spending this specific amount of points, you will be saving yourself and extra $15. Alternatively, if you spend a little more, you can save yourself a little more as well. If you spend 95,000 points this weekend at Shoppers, you will receive up to $200 off your total purchase, which is an extra $30 than what you would normally receive.

Don’t forget to check out Shoppers Drug Mart’s flyer for this week, as they have a number of limited time offers that will be running on various days throughout the week. Knowing these offers ahead of time would make it easier for you to plan what to buy at the grocery store, and what to leave off until this Saturday and Sunday during the spend your points event.

Victoria’s Secret Canada is hosting a panty party, where you can pick up 7 pairs of panties for just $35. The single pair value of these panties are normally $13.60, meaning that if you were to pick up 7 pairs outside of this sale you would have to pay $95.20! During the panty party event, however, each individual pair of panties will be reduced to $5.02 when you purchase them in bunches of 7.

You will be able to choose from a plethora of different patterns, styles and fits within the Victoria’s Secret panty party event. There’s everything from comfortable hip hugger cotton panties, to lace trimmed boy-short panties.
This offer from Victoria’s Secret is available both in-store and online, and I’d suggest shopping in-store if you have access to a nearby Victoria’s Secret as the shipping and handling fees may outweigh the money you’re saving in this event. For orders $0-$50, you will have to pay $13.99, plus you may be required to pay duties on your order since they are all shipped from the States.

Today is your last chance to take advantage of this wonderful free and family oriented March Break event being offered at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario. There will be a limit of 250 people at a time on the rink, so I’d suggest getting there early to secure a place for you an your family.
You can check out more free events going on around the GTA for the March Break at the city of Toronto’s March Break webpage.
