Get excited Toronto! As tomorrow, Friday, March 20th is Macaron Day in Canada and to mark this wonderful occasion, there will be free macarons offered throughout the city at select patisseries. This day long event will be held as a fundraiser for the Red Door Family Shelter, where customers will receive one complimentary macaron at participating locations and 25% of the day’s proceeds from macarons will then go towards the charity.
Macarons are delicious, light and airy meringue cookies that are sandwiched around a buttercream or ganache filling, though they can vary among specific flavours, like red velvet to key lime pie.

This event will be held all day long, and each store may differ exactly how many macarons you can have for free.
This Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd, Shoppers Drug Mart Canada will be having a spend your points event where you can get up to an extra $30 when you spend the qualifying amount of Shoppers Optimum Points.
The first qualifying amount of points you will have to spend at Shoppers Drug Mart is 50,000 points, which will give you up to $100 off. By spending this specific amount of points, you will be saving yourself and extra $15. Alternatively, if you spend a little more, you can save yourself a little more as well. If you spend 95,000 points this weekend at Shoppers, you will receive up to $200 off your total purchase, which is an extra $30 than what you would normally receive.
Don’t forget to check out Shoppers Drug Mart’s flyer for this week, as they have a number of limited time offers that will be running on various days throughout the week. Knowing these offers ahead of time would make it easier for you to plan what to buy at the grocery store, and what to leave off until this Saturday and Sunday during the spend your points event.
Victoria’s Secret Canada is hosting a panty party, where you can pick up 7 pairs of panties for just $35. The single pair value of these panties are normally $13.60, meaning that if you were to pick up 7 pairs outside of this sale you would have to pay $95.20! During the panty party event, however, each individual pair of panties will be reduced to $5.02 when you purchase them in bunches of 7.
You will be able to choose from a plethora of different patterns, styles and fits within the Victoria’s Secret panty party event. There’s everything from comfortable hip hugger cotton panties, to lace trimmed boy-short panties.
This offer from Victoria’s Secret is available both in-store and online, and I’d suggest shopping in-store if you have access to a nearby Victoria’s Secret as the shipping and handling fees may outweigh the money you’re saving in this event. Landmark Cinemas Canada has issued out a coupon for next week, that will begin being valid on Sunday, March 22nd, where you can buy one adult ticket and get one child ticket for free. An adult ticket will cost you between $9.49 and $13.25, depending up on which province you are buying your tickets in, and a child’s ticket will be valued to be worth between $6.99 and $8.50.
This coupon will be valid to be used at any Landmark Cinemas location on March 22nd, March 23rd, March 25th and March 26th. For those of you have your children’s March Break beginning next week, this is an excellent coupon to use throughout the week if you’re looking for inexpensive activities for you and your kids. The Google Play Store Canada has recently added 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure to their collection of freebies. I cannot guarantee that this feature length film, that follows some of your Disney favourites from the original 101 Dalmatians, will last for very long as Google Play tends to offer these freebies for a very brief moment in time and then, just as quickly as they were revealed to us, take them away from us.

Today is your last chance to take advantage of this wonderful free and family oriented March Break event being offered at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario. From March 16th until today, the Ricoh Coliseum will be running a free Family Skate between the hours of 12:30pm and 4pm. You will be required to bring your own gear to this event, as the Ricoh Coliseum does not rent gear, and you should also be advised that children 12 years and under must wear a CSA approved helmet to gain access to the skating rink.
There will be a limit of 250 people at a time on the rink, so I’d suggest getting there early to secure a place for you an your family.

Adidas Canada has recently added a whole bunch of new styles to their outlet sale, where select t pieces are being sold for up to 65% off their retail price. And even on the pieces that aren’t being sold for quite 65% off, you can still pick up a lot of products for 50% off their regular price – which is still a very good deal.
This is an excellent time to invest in long sleeve running sweaters, as the weather is warming up just enough that there is no longer ice threatening to trip you up while you run along the paths, but it is still cool enough that you would need a little extra layer. We’ve been following the liquidation sales at Target Canada now for the past couple of weeks, keeping you updated with the various deals and sales they are offering each day, and while the past few have been relatively weak, today’s discount is probably one of the best we’ve seen yet.

The Hudson’s Bay Canada is having a flash sale online today, until 11:59pm EST, where you’ll be able to save up to 20% off on men’s and women’s denim, and more specifically for the men, on Levi’s jeans. The women’s jeans that are on sale are from a wide variety of designers, including brand names like Silver Jeans, Calvin Klein, DKNY and much more.
I found the selection of Silver jeans for the women to be the most appealing, and they were also being sold for some of lowest prices being offered in this flash sale. These Suki Mid Pencil Skinny were reduced to being just $78.40, from the original price of $98, while a similar style from Buffalo, the Faith Skinny Jean, had only been reduced to $86.40.
The styles that you will have to choose from in the men’s Levi jeans sale are either 511, 513 or the 514 styles. The straight fit jeans in this sale, in a medium wash, were some of my favourites as they’re lighter wash would mean that you could wear them in both the spring and winter time without looking out of season. All of the styles in the flash sale at the Hudson’s Bay will be sold for $54.99, though they were previously being sold for between $79.50-$89.50.

Sears Canada seems to always have some great deals being offered within their toy section, and today I’ve been able to find some deals that you’ll be hard pressed to find a better price for anywhere else.
The first toy sale that I found in the Sears toy sale was on this Go Mario Kart 7 Electric Powered Race Set, which has recently been reduced by 25%, now costing just $67.49. This two person speed car racing toy, that includes the two iconic Nintendo characters Mario and Yoshi, is normally sold on Sears for $89.99, but on other sites (like Amazon.ca) it was actually being sold for more than that at $109.75.
Keeping within the car theme, you can also pick up a Maisto Mercedes-Benz G-Class Radio-Controlled Vehicle for just $14.99 at Sears, though the regular retail price is $19.99. Select models similar to this Maisto Mercedes-Benz are also being sold on Amazon.ca, but for the much more expensive price of, in some cases, up to $73.78.
