One of my favourite things to do with the change of seasons is to invest in a new scented candle that accompanies and complements the new aromas of the year. At Ikea Canada this weekend, you will be able to stock up on a new scent for your home to welcome in the spring season as they are having a sale where all scented candles are 30% off.

The scented candles event at Ikea will only be available to in-store shoppers from March 12th until Sunday, March 15th, and you will be limited to 10 candles per person (which is still a lot of candles if you ask me!) While you can’t order the candles online, you can still browse through the candle sale to get an idea of the sort of deals going on this weekend. For instance, you can pick up a pack of 3 Bracka scented candles in glass for just $4.19 (normally $5.99). What I personally like about getting your candles in little glass jars like the Bracka set, is that after the candle has burned away, you can re-use the glass jar as a tea-light to hold other candles.

If you don’t already have a local Irish pub that you plan on hitting up this Tuesday, March 17th, more commonly known as St. Patrick’s Day, then I’d suggest you consider giving Kelsey’s Canada a try for at least one of your pit stops throughout the day. This Tuesday, Kelsey’s will be celebrating the green holiday by offering customers cans of tall boys for $4.50 each, and they will be running this offer from the time they open their doors till they kick you out for last call.

In addition to this special St. Patrick’s Day offer, Kelsey’s will also be continuing with their weekly special on Tuesday night where you can get 2 spiked snow kones and 2 appetizers for just $20. For appetizers, you will have the choice of cheese n’ bacon potato skins, mmmmoozzarella bread, large caesar salad or spinach dip. These appetizers and snow cones will certainly agree with your stomach, especially after a long day of drinking; the greasy potato skins would be my go to!

This hot offer from the Microsoft Store Canada, where you can pick up any Xbox One console for $30 off the regular price and also receive a free copy of Titanfall and any 2nd game of your choice for free, will only be available for one week, as the offer will expire on March 19th.

Though the offer may expire next Thursday, I doubt that Microsoft will be able to keep the stock (especially of the second free game) fully available to shoppers until then. The selection of games will include hot offers like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (regularly $69.99) and Forza Motorsport 5 Game of the Year Edition (regularly $49.99). And since you can pick up an Xbox One console for as little as $369 (regularly $399), you could pick up a bundle that’s worth up to $498.98 (as Titanfall normally retails for about $29.99) for as little as $369, saving you a total of $129.98.

The availability of Xbox One consoles that you can choose from at Microsoft with this hot deal included are:

Another hot offer going on at the Microsoft Store is on this Acer Aspire E 14 ES1-411-C507 Signature Edition Laptop, which is currently being sold for the lowly price of $249. This laptop would be ideal for someone who needs a PC for general work, as there is only 2GB of memory, but there is a spacious 14-inch display screen.
The Microsoft Store offers free-shipping on all orders with no minimum purchase required.

GLOBO Shoes Canada is having a massive sale sitewide, where you can save on both new stock from the spring collection and old stock from the winter collection. For those of you who simply cannot wait to break out into your espadrilles and flip-flops, you can shop within the women’s sandal sale, where pairs of wedges and slip-ons are starting as low as $9.98.

If you’re like me, and can’t wait to step into a beautifully woven pair of chunky wedges this spring, then you’ll be excited to learn that a pair like these braid-crossing strap Katina shoes are being sold for just $9.97 (regularly $39.99).

For those days when the inevitable monsoon like rain comes this spring, you may want to tuck away your strappy sandals and sub in a pair of Lauricette rain boots (now just $29.98). I personally love the look of these delightful yellow rain boots, as I feel that it would be almost impossible not to crack a smile when throwing these on (even on the gloomiest of Monday mornings), but if you prefer a more subdued colour, you can also pick these boots up in a crimson red, navy, black, purple and forrest green for just $30 (was $59.99).

As I said the deals going on at GLOBO are suitable for the entire family, from little boys and girls to adult men and women. I was able to find within the March Break flyer (which will be available until March 15th) these adorable and rustic Rojan girls’ combat boots for just $29.98 (was $39.99). Or, if you’d like to find boots priced even more impressively, but not quite as seasonably appropriate, you can shop within the winter boots clearance sale where there are discounts to be found for 50% off the regular price.
GLOBO Shoes offers free-shipping on all orders that exceed $50, or if you’re below this limit the standard fee will be a not too lofty fee of $5.

Sears Canada is having an online flash sale today where you can save up to 40% off on select toys (though I was able to find some for up to 50% off), in addition to having baby furniture, gear and kids bedding on sale for up to 25% off the regular price.

Within the toy sale, I was able to find this adorable and playful little Franklin-in-the-tin box for just $14.99, though before it was being sold for $24.99. This is a reduction of 40% off the regular price, and while most of the toys are being sold at this reduced rate or lower, there are a few that are being sold for up to half-off the regular price.

For instance, this Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Mountaintop Supply Run Set was originally being sold at Sears for $149.99, but is currently on sale for just $74.99. Even when I compared the price of this set online with other retailers, like Amazon.ca, the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway set was still being sold for close to $233.

If you’re not so interested in decking out your child’s room with new toys so much as with some more practical furniture choices, then you should certainly stop into the Sears flash sale on baby furniture. Pieces lie this Delta Adele Crib N’ More 4-in-1 Crib are currently on sale for 25% off the regular price, meaning that a crib like this that was normally being sold for $499.99 would now just be $374.99. And while most of the pieces in this furniture sale are going for 25% off, you can also pick up the Delta Santiago 6 Drawer Dresser (white) for the amazing reduced rate of 50% off, as it is now just $399.99 (was $799.99).
Sears will only be offering these amazing flash sales online for today, and remember that shipping and handling will be free when you spend over $99.

It’s one of our favourite times of year, the Gap Canada Family and Friends event is starting today online and will be continuing through till Monday, March 16th. During this event, you will be able to take 40% off on your entire online purchase when you enter the promo code, GAPFAMCA, at the checkout. The best part about this event? There are no restrictions on the kinds of products you can include, or can’t include, in your order to receive the 40% off.

If you’re needing ideas on what to use your 40% discount on, I’d suggest heading into the sale section where they have recently added some springy peplum tops and shift dresses, that are starting as low as $45.99.

Or if you’re wanting to exercise this discount on some new spring arrivals, then you may want to check out the Gap’s dress shop where they have added a plethora of new styles that will certainly get you excited for the impending warmer weather. I love the look of balancing a sweet an delicate flare and fit dress, like this white stripe seersucker dress ($79.95), with a more rough around the edges jean jacket ($26.99) to create a light spring outfit.

If you were to get both the dress and the jean jacket, it would normally cost you $106.94. During the Family and Friends event at Gap, however, you will only have to pay $64.17 with your 40% off discount.
Gap Canada offers free-shipping on all orders that exceed $50, and since this offer will only be available to online shoppers, I’d advise meeting or exceeding this minimum since it will be an extra $8 if you are below it.

Puma Canada is running an offer this weekend, that will only be available for a limited time, where you can get your shipping and handling covered with no minimum purchase required. All you will have to do is enter the promo code, FREESHIP, at the checkout and Puma will automatically deduct the cost of shipping and handling.

Puma normally doesn’t offer free-shipping unless you have spent $99 USD or more, and if it is below this minimum you would have to pay an additional $16.44 CAD for shipping and handling; Puma writes all of the prices in USD, even if you are switched over to the Canadian site, so be wary of this while shopping online.

As is my usual practise when retailers offer free-shipping with no minimums, I bolted right over to the sale section to see what kind of deals I could pick up from Puma for as little as possible. I was able to find some decently priced women’s workout tanks, like the gym loose tank top, which was on sale for $29.20 down from $57.10. For the men, there were some nice polos and work out tees on sale for as little as $22.22, like this men’s bi-colour striped polo (was $44.41).
This free-shipping offer from Puma Canada will only be available for a limited time.

A couple of weeks ago we posted about the Namaskar hoodie from Lululemon Canada, as it had been added to the We Made Too Much Sale at the reduced price of $69 (down from the original price of $118). We are now re-posting this hot deal, as Lululemon has taken another $20 off the already reduced price of the Namaskar hoodie, making it now just $49.

The Namaskar hoodie is a breathable hoodie that has been created with Luon fabric, a staple feature of the sweat wicking clothing that Lululemon has become so well known for offering. Unfortunately, the reason this hoodie has been reduced by an additional $20 is probably due to the fact that there is only one size left in each of the colours offered, and that is a size 2. If you’re a petite woman or know a child who has a longer torso however, this Namaskar hoodie would be a good fit, and an even better deal for you.

Lululemon is also selling these Wunder Under Crop leggings for almost half-off the original price, as they are now being sold for just $44 (the regular price was $82). Not only are these a practical pair of leggings, being constructed entirely of Luon fabric for a tight-fitting, second skin feel, they are also ornately decorated with a Japanese stitch pattern called sashiko.

These are special edition Wunder Under Cropped leggings, and as of this posting there was still sizes 2, 4, and 6 available.
Lululemon Canada offers free-shipping on all orders with no minimum purchase required.

Yesterday we gave you a run-down of Apple Canada’s newest product that they’ll be adding to their ever extending line up of gizmos and gadgets, the new piece of technology being the Apple Watch. In addition to extending their lineup, they will also be revamping their laptop lineup with the new and improved 12-inch MacBook.

The MacBook will be available in three different colours, silver, gold and space grey, and will measure just 13.1mm in thickness and weigh in at just 0.92kg. The MacBook will come equipped with a 12-inch Retina screen and boasts a full-size keyboard that stretches all the way to the edges of the MacBook’s perimeter.

Some of the new features to Apple’s MacBook that may shock you, but may also excite you, are that it only has one USB-C input, meaning that this port will handle the job of charging, HDMI, USB and any other outlet you may be trying to connect to your MacBook. It will also have up to 9-hours of battery life, and in all honesty, isn’t battery life the largest, if not the most important tech spec that we should be considering?

The MacBook will be available to order from Apple beginning on April 10th and the most inexpensive model will be the 256GB, 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with 8GB memory, coming in at $1,549. The more expensive model, the 512GB, 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor, will cost you $1,899.
Apple Canada offers free-shipping on all of their orders.

The unveiling of a new Apple product is probably the closest comparison that adult tech aficionados can draw to a child’s emotions the night before Christmas Day. Since the rumours of Apple’s newest technology innovation, the Apple Watch, were brought to fruition back in the fall, we have gained an increasing amount of information about this neat little gadget that will, as the CEO Tim Cook suggests, be a more intimate medium for communication.
Of all the new features that the Apple Watch boasts (texting, e-mailing, notifications and, let’s not forget, telling time) the one that most of us will undoubtedly be focused on is the actual aesthetics of the device. Judging from the teaser videos and limited press releases regarding the actual appearance of the Apple Watch, I think we will be satisfied with the opportunities we will have to customize the device, as there are currently 10 different faces available as well as three different leather straps, a stainless steel bracelet or a black or white band. The Apple Sport Model (one of the three different versions being sold) will have an anodized case so that it will be more resistant to damage during your workouts.
The other two versions being sold from Apple, the Apple Watch, and the higher-end, Apple Watch Edition, will range in price from $699 CAD to $1,459 for the Apple Watch and the more expensive Apple Watch Edition will start at around $13,000. The Sport will be the cheapest of the three ranging between $449 and $519 CAD.

Of all the hype that the Apple Watch is creating, the only feature that I can truly see setting it apart from the rest of the smart watches on the market is its KillerApp, which is an app that reminds you to stand up, exercise and generally get moving. Unlike other fitness apps that have notifications that pop up on your computer screen, this app from Apple will send ‘taps’ against your wrist until you listen to the app and get up and get going. Having this physical reminder to get up and move will be more efficient than simply closing a notification on your phone or computer.
Apart from being able to tell time within 50ms of universal standard time, the Apple Watch will also be equipped with Siri voice service, along with having an intelligent piece of technology called the Digital Crown that will essentially be able to detect the difference in your fingers from a ‘tap’ to a ‘press’. You will of course have to be in possession of an iPhone for the Apple Watch to work at its maximum ability, and it will be compatible with iPhone 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 plus.
While pre-ordering the Apple Watch begins on April 10th, you will be able to begin purchasing them in-store on April 24th in Canada.
The Apple Watch sounds like a pretty interesting gadget to own, but a bit outside most of our budgets for telling time; do you think you’re going to jump and buy the Apple Watch? Or will you wait till the second version comes out?
