SmartCanucks Scavenger Hunt: Week 3

Community Features

Welcome back to the SmartCanucks Scavenger Hunt — our weekly challenge to our readers to find the lowest price on a specific item! Our second week had us hunting for the lowest price on a 2GB SD Card. Amazingly, many of you found them for less than $5!! The cheapest one, found by SmartCanucker Carla, was only $4.45 at!

This week we’re going to step outside of the world of tech and try to nail down the lowest price on a very specific kitchen item, a Black & Decker toaster oven. Doesn’t matter which model number, just so long as it’s Black & Decker. I would have said any toaster oven but let’s not kid ourselves — if it’s a no-name brand you’re going to get what you pay for.

So let’s have at it, hunters! What’s the cheapest Black & Decker toaster oven out there?

Before we go off to buy our inexpensive B&D toaster oven…let us do diligent research…never buy anything before consulting the experts!!

Check out “What Experts Say About Buying Toaster Ovens”!

It is not always about getting the cheapest, it can also be about getting the toaster that fits your lifestyle…

Then check out “How to make toast” Jenna

    How To Make Toast
    By Jenna

    1. Get some bread. Then put it in the toaster.

    2. Then push the button down and then wait a minute.

    3. Then it will pop up. Then put it on a plate.

    4. Then get some butter and put it on the toast.

    5. And then your toast is ready for you to eat.
    Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!

you guys rock. but i’m just going to add that last night i got the best *deal* on a microwave oven after searching ALL the stores including the sears clearance center.

1.1 cubic with a grilling option, stainless steel: rca $97 walmart.

one problem. just one: the instruction booklet basically has no instructions. not very detailed at all. but that’s what google is for.

Just because something is brand name doesn’t mean you’re going to “get what you pay for”
Lots of no name products are just fine.

I have to say, I’ve had a very poor track record with Black and Decker.

Bought a very good B & D tostaer oven that I liked, and the thing totally died on me just after the warranty expired.

    My mom’s had a B & D toaster Oven die on her.

    We’ve some other B & D stuff that jus tplain sucks – I’d probalby take no name over B & D…
