Hudson’s Bay Canada Deals: Save 25% Off on Women’s Spring Fashion Accessories, Hats, Scarves and Wraps + 25% Off Bras

Hudson’s Bay Canada is breaking into spring this week with a couple of sales that are specifically designed with the fashion forward woman in mind. In the first offer, you can shop the spring accessories event where you can save up to 25% off on handbags, shoes, watches, hats, scarves, jewellery and much more! And in the second offer, you can save up t0 25% off on bras!

Most of the bras being sold in the second sale are sports bras, which include offers from top athletic brands like Reebok, Nike, Adidas and Puma. For instance, this PUMA Yogini Lux Strappy Bra is on sale for just $37.50, though it would usually cost $50.

Within the accessories event sale, you can save up to 25% off on all sorts of accessories, including items like this super funky IVY PARK Nylon Baseball Cap, now only $30 (was $40). Within the handbag portion of this sale though, it’s setup as a buy more, save more offer. So if you spend $175+, you’ll save $50, if you spend $125+, you’ll save $30, and if you spend $75+, you’ll save $15.

So a handbag like this KARL LAGERFELD PARIS Willow Leather Crossbody Bag that is usually sold for $178 will only end up costing you $128!

This accessories event will only be around for a limited time.

The Hudson’s Bay offers FREE shipping on orders that are $45+ (or $29+ on beauty purchases) when you pay with your Hudson’s Bay credit card, or $99+ (or $49+ on beauty purchases) when you pay with any other form of tender.

Farm Boy Etobicoke 20,000 Square Foot Store Now Open!

You’ll perhaps remember a few months back when we posted about how Farm Boy Canada was planning on opening up at least 10 new locations within the GTA this year, perhaps making competing grocers like Loblaw’s and Longo’s cringe a little at the fact that this locally established chain that specializes in providing fresh, local produce would be branching out into Toronto. Well, this past week saw the opening of the new location at the Shoppes of Alderwood plaza at Brown’s Line and Evans Avenue, and people were stoked to see the opening of this Ontario local haunt within the GTA.

The local produce section is certainly one of the finer highlights of Farm Boy’s offerings, though they’re small-batch private label products are something akin to our southern neighbour’s Trader Joe’s labels; they provide everything from salad dressings and spices to even carrying their own chocolate covered snacks and other salted delights.

Shoppers Optimum Points and PC Plus Points Merger Starts Today, February 1st

Starting today, your old Shoppers Optimum and PC Plus cards will no longer be valid as the two loyalty reward programs will be merging to rebrand as PC Optimum.

PC Optimum will largely still function the same way that the other two rewards programs ran, but you will need to download the new app and trade-in for new cards in order to begin collecting points.

You will also need to register your card online at PC Optimum. After you’ve completed all of these steps, you’re well on your way to take advantage of exclusive offers and events.

The collection of the points in this new program will run the same, but the way that those points can be redeemed will be a bit different.

For those of you who were part the PC Plus program, the redemption of 20,000 points will still be equal to $20, however the minimum threshold for redeeming those points has been dropped to just 10,000 (before it was 20,000).

Within the Shoppers Optimum program, the online calculator for converting from Shoppers Optimum points to the new program shows that if you have 95,000 Shoppers points that will now equal 170,000 new points. And in the new program, 170,000 works out to be $170 worth of rewards.

When you are collecting points in the new program, every dollar you spend will provide you with 15 PC Optimum points, which is much better than the old Shoppers Optimum program as $1 only provided 10 points.

Are you excited about the new changes that Loblaws is making to their rewards program?

Nintendo Labo DIY Cardboard Switch Accessories Launching April 2018

If you’re a person who lives in fear that kids nowadays won’t ever get to experience the textile joy that was building your first LEGO set, or that they’ll never fully appreciate the haptic feedback relief of playing a real-life piano rather than tapping a simulated LED version on the screen of their smartphone, then you’ll be relieved to hear what Nintendo Canada has up their sleeve.

Starting in April 20, 2018, you’ll be able to pick up Nintendo Labo DIY cardboard kits to complement your Nintendo Switch system.

How these cardboard corrugated creations will work is actually quite ingenious. If you buy the Variety Kit, your child will have the opportunity to build five different toy-con creations, including a piano, 2 RC cars, a fishing rod, a house or a motorbike. Once you connect your Nintendo Switch to these hand-crafted toys, you’ll be able to continue the fun by either holding a recital or competing in a race.

The other kit available will be the toy-con Robot Kit, which will be a kit that provides you with the instructions to make a cool robot suit that can also be connected to your Nintendo Switch to extend the fun outside of the box.

These Nintendo Labo’s will start at about $69.99 USD and we’ll be sure to update this post once there are announcements of where these cardboard delights will begin being sold in Canada.

Dairy Queen Canada Offers: New Honey Hot Glazed Chicken Strip Basket and Xtreme Blizzard Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and so Dairy Queen Canada is heating up their offers to reflect products that will be more suitable for the loving occasion.

The first new product that they will be offering for the month of February is one that will attract those who like it hot. Right now, you can pick up either 4-piece or six-piece honey hot glazed chicken strips, which will be made with none other than Frank’s Red Hot sauce. This order will come with fries and a ranch sauce, and if you opt for the six-piece it’ll make for a nice snack to split before heading to the movies for a date night.

The second St. Valentine-themed offer from Dairy Queen is the new Ultimate Choco Brownie Blizzard Cupid Cake. This cake will be starting at $9.99, and though it’s marketed as being ‘perfectly split’ between two, I’m sure that if you are celebrating an independent Valentine’s Day, it would also be perfectly acceptable in an individual sized portion.

And since it’s February, Dairy Queen will be bringing back the Chocolate Xtreme Blizzard as their blizzard of the month.
