Canadian Deals: DVD Recorder

Pioneer DVD Recorder

Pioneer DVD recorder is on sale at The Source for $149.99 (regular price: $549.99). This deal is only available online, not at brick and mortar stores. At $549.99 this DVD recorder was definitely over priced, but for $149.99 it’s not a bad deal. You can find this deal here.

Best Buy’s 7 Days of Canadian Deals – Day 5

Best Buy Deals Day 5

Today is Day 5 of Best Buy’s 7 days of deals. Today’s deal is a refurbished Netgear 4-Port WebSafe Router for $14.99 (regular price $24.99). Unfortunately, unless you specifically need a wired router for some reason, this is one crappy deal. If you need to setup a home network so that you can connect to the Internet from more than one computer I strongly recommend you buy a wireless (not a wired) router. I’ll post deals on wireless routers soon.

Here is Best Buy’s cold router deal.

Moola Invitations

Moola InvitationI have several moola.com invitations. If you’re interested in a Moola invitation please send a message using the “Suggest a Deal” form on the right sidebar or just email me or leave comment below. Mention moola invitation so that I know what you’re asking for. It’s first come, first serve.
Once you get my invitation you’ll have 3 new invitations. I’d really appreciate it if you can post these invitations in the comments section for others to join.

If you’re already a Moola member here are a couple of winning tips:
– jot down the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 on a piece of paper and cross them out as your opponent plays them. This way you’ll be able to keep track of the numbers played so far.
– Try not to blow your 6 too early, because sometimes it can be used to win ties.
– If the first number in the gold rush is 5, playing a 2 might be a good idea. 2 would win if opponent plays a 1 and wouldn’t be a terrible loss otherwise.

If you have any more tips please post them in the comments section.

Canadian Deals: Wrist Exercise Ball (Powerball)

The Source's PowerballThe Source is selling Powerball imitations for $9.99 (regular price: $19.99). The Powerball or its imitation is basically a gyroscope in a casing. As a gyroscope rotates and builds up angular momentum it exerts force on the ball, and your hand in turn. You rotate the ball in circles through the air to keep the gyro going faster, and faster, which in turn produces more force on your hand. It’s a very simple and fun-to-use exercise ball and best of all, it can help prevent wrist injuries and stave off Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It will also build your forearms, and really exercise your hands and fingers. Here’s a video that explains the Powerball more.

Should you buy The Source’s imitation or original Powerball?
Original is much more expensive (about $30 and up).

Buy powerball imitation if:
– You need it to avoid Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or exercise your hands.
– You’re trying it out for the first time.

Buy original powerball if:
– You want to seriously build your forearms and you’re interested in strength-building.
– You just have an unlimited supply of money 🙂

The Source has two different models on sale:
Wrist Exercise Ball
Nexxtech Wrist Ball

This offer expires on April 23rd.

Best Buy’s 7 Days of Canadian Deals – Day 4

Best Buy Canadian Deals Day 4

Today is Day 4 of Best Buy’s 7 days of deals. Today’s deal is DataWare 100-Pack 8X DVD-R Spindle for $19.99 (regular price $59.99). You can get this deal here. This deal is very disappointing in my point of view. Although $19.99 is a very cheap price for 100 blank DVDs, these DataWares have a relatively poor quality. I would rather pay a bit more and buy well known high quality blank DVD media. If you record movies on your blank DVDs, the higher the quality the longer they’ll last. If you’re looking for blank DVDs I’d certainly recommend the Memorex 100-Pack 16X 4.7GB DVD-R Spindle from Futureshop.

Canadian Deals: Blacks Backpack

Black's BackpackBlack’s is selling it’s digital backpack for only $24.99 (regular price was $49.99). That’s 50% off. You can find this backpack deal here.
