As most Shoppers Drug Mart couponers know, each store is individually owned and thus, we come across different coupon policies and acceptance rules. Well, here is the Official Coupon Policy as posted on their Facebook page. I printed this and will keep it in my coupon holder. The most significant change in my opinion is the section which states that manufacturer’s coupons, including Free Product Coupons, will now count towards the total during promos such as 20x points. Another point of interest to me is that Internet coupons are officially accepted. My local store has a printed sign on their tills that they do NOT accept Internet coupons. I wonder what they’ll say when I present this Official Coupon Policy? I personally have not been shopping there as much as I used to due to various changes and issues I’ve read that others have experienced. What are your personal thoughts about this?

It’s that time of year again.  Your SPC card is getting closer to expiring and you’re going to need a new one.  Well if you pre-order yours online you will also receive a $10 off Shopping Card for your choice of retailers. I was just taking a surf  around the internet and came across 2 sales at Bookcloseouts that I almost missed entirely.  First they have discounted all their Hershey’s cookbooks by an additional 25%.  Second, they have discounted their Fiction Romance titles by an additional 50%.  Pretty great deals to be had.  Oh and they have a new deal that is time limited.  They are calling it Whack and the current discounted book is Abraham Lincoln Vamire Hunter for only $2.99.  There are so many ways to save at Bookcloseouts!

It’s been a little over a week since the new (and increased) duty-free limits have been in place.

As of June 1st, 2012, the government increased the previous daily allowance of goods that Canadians can bring back, after 24-hours, from $50 –> $200!

And for Canucks who are spending 48-hours in the States, they are now allowed to bring back duty-free goods worth $800, as opposed to $400 for a week’s stay under the old rules.

As a Canadian who enjoys at least 2 trips/year to Buffalo, these new rules don’t really affect me. Being generous, I may spend $100, but I certainly never recall a time that I’ve spent $200. Then again, I’m referring to Buffalo – not New York City!

HOWEVER, if I were to restock my fridge, doing groceries there and/or spotted a great deal on a designer purse that I’ve been eyeing, I can see myself breaching the $200 mark.

SO will these new exemption limits as per the Canadian government have any affect on you? Or will it simply mean that you wouldn’t have to lie (as badly) to the customs officer on the way back?

I really love this sale!  Gap has summer styles for kids and babies on for up to 50% off.  There are some really cute items for boys and girls. Oh and if you’re shopping online, you can get free shipping on orders of $50 or more (which is not a hard target for me to hit when I’m shopping for my son).  I think I may have to buy my nieces something too!  This sale is going on in store and online.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have kind of a flip flop obsession.  I think it’s because they are relatively cheap so I can get a pair to match each outfit.  Reitman’s has just given me another excuse to buy more of them!  They have their flip flops priced at only $5!  They have some great colors (that I don’t have already) and they are patterned.  Oh and if you spend $75 you get a Free beach bag.  Did I mention the bags match the flip flops!
