What is Free Comic Book Day?

Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May – when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. You simply need to visit your local Comic Book store and pickup a few books for free.  Click here to find a comic bookstore in your Canadian town or city

The idea is to get new people into comic books by giving them a chance to read a few for free! There seems to be a belief that Comic books are read mainly by geeky males. Whether this is true or not I don’t know but it reminds me of this scene from my favourite Sitcom, The Big Bang Theory 😀

I’ve never personally tried Left 4 Dead PC game, but I’ve heard it’s a pretty fun and addictive game. This weekend only Steam online has Left 4 Dead on sale for 40% off. Instead of $39.99 you can buy the game for only $23.99 USD.  Note that you don’t get the actual DVDs but instead you get to download the game from the Steam Canada servers. For most people with high speed Internet that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Left 4 Dead has both single player and multi-player modes but the multi-player modes seems to be what people love the most about it.

Considering that the coupons in the book  are worth a lot more then cover price, this is one awesome deal. Just thought I’d update you on the PineCone Research Canada Invites and what’s been going on!

Over the past week or so I’ve emailed out over 6,000 PineCone Research Invitations! Yep you read that right! To all of those who replied back thanking me, you’re very welcome!! Sorry I couldn’t reply to individual thank yous due to the large amounts of emails I send and receive but I do read each and every one and it’s these little nice gestures that keep me going 😀

I’m sorry if I emailed you several times. At one point I got very exhausted and lost track of what I was doing. To make sure I didn’t miss anyone I resent a batch which I’m sure had duplicates. If you got multiple emails from me I’m sorry!

I’d just like to let you know that if you heard back from PineCone Research Canada then congrats you got accepted. But if you didn’t hear anything it means you got rejected. PineCone will not email you a rejection letter. Maybe you got rejected because you work in marketing, advertising, retail or maybe they’re not looking for anyone in your city or maybe not your age range. You never really know why!
