I have been anticipating the return of this event for a year by saving my empties! I wonder if empty lip balm pots count? 😉 I’m thinking of even emptying some containers with products that I no longer use to give to family/friends so that they can participate in this event!

Anyway, as per usual, it seems as though the American version of this event is better in that your reward is BIGGER depending on the number of empties you bring in. If you bring in up to 10 empties, it entitles you to a free full-sized product…up to a $25 value! Can you believe it?

Problem: I purchased tickets to see New Edition at Casino Rama, but the show starts at 8pm, and the casino is approximately 2-hours away. I don’t want to deal with sittin’ in rush hour traffic which will be absolutely brutal!

Solution: Skip the $5 (one-way) bus and do the FREE BUS! Right now, through DSL charter bus service, they are running a promo that offers free rides, at any of their stops, after 6pm.

I called DSL to ask when this promo is ending and the operator didn’t know, but responded, “probably at the end of this month”. However, you are required to make a reservation so that the bus company knows how many spots to reserve at each stop.

This promo is also great for people who are visiting the GTA and want to check out the casino, but don’t want to hassle with driving, gas, GPS, traffic, etc. All you have to do is to reserve your spot and get yourself to the nearest stop!

I *love* free samples, but I sorta cringe when it’s through The Bay because I find their customer service…lacking. Navigating through all their beauty counters, I’ll ask someone for help locating a particular brand, and most of the time I’ll get, “I don’t know. I work for [another brand], try over there!” Followed by pointing in some vague direction. Most of the time, I find that I have to ask more than one person before I find what I’m looking for! Since it’s Canadian, the bad customer service gives me a case of the sads. 🙁
