DELL Canada has a new music store and I can’t help but notice how cheap the songs are compared to iTunes and Amazon.ca. Song prices are:
- 10 songs for $7.99 ($0.79 each)
- 20 songs for $13.99 ($0.70 each)
- 30 songs for $19.99 ($0.67 each)
For example, U2’s album No line on the Horizon which DELL advertises in the picture above is sold at Amazon.ca for $12.99. It consists of 11 songs so say you can eliminate 1 song, you’d download the album (minus 1 song) from DELL for $7.99. Of course the CD wouldn’t be included but who listens to CDs nowadays anyhow.

Last fall the Threadless $5 Sale was a huge hit around these parts, so how could I resist telling you the moment it cropped up again?
The sale just started this morning so there should still be a pretty good selection available. If you order please check out our earlier post on Threadless shipping to make sure you’re still getting the best deal and you don’t get nailed with customs.
Click here to go $5 t-shirt crazy courtesy of Threadless. Sale ends March 23rd.
UPDATE: I’ve been doing a little shopping around on the site — looks like there’s a ton of kids shirts on for $5 as well. If you’re looking for some cool threads for the little ones, it’s a awesome time for it. 😀
Right off the bat let me apologize for the title of this post. It’s not meant in the nasty way you might be thinking. You see, the McGangBang is a real thing, and it seems to be sweeping the nation. The concept is simple — take a double cheeseburger and stick a McChicken right in the middle. The folks over at Eat Me Daily have put together more information than you could ever want on the subject — the McG’s history, the spread of it online, stories and videos — you name it, they have it.
I wouldn’t be much of a McDonald’s connoisseur without pointing out a small factual error. Every picture you’ll find of the item features a double cheeseburger and — not a McChicken — but a Junior Chicken. And yes, there is a difference. A big one in my books. The McChicken is a big, juicy, delicious slice of heaven served on a sesame seed bun. The Junior Chicken is an overly spiced, overly cooked, shriveled up piece of nothing. Not a pleasant experience. As the McG seems to be an American phenomenon so far I can’t help but wonder if they don’t have the real McChicken. A sad state of affairs if true.
I haven’t tried a McG, but considering my love of both chicken and burgers, it seems like a no brainer. Maybe I should invent the BBW McGangBang — a double quarter pounder with a REAL McChicken in the middle. Mmmmm.. meat and poultry, together at last.
Thanks to Boo for sending this story my way! 🙂

I was taking a boo around my local Liquidation World the other day and came across one of the best post-holiday deals I’ve seen — boxes of Valentines Day cards for 10 cents. Considering these were going for around $4 this past year (that’s what we paid for my daughters cards at Zellers this past February) it’s hard to imagine these ever getting any cheaper. It work out to about 3 cards for a penny.
I had only grabbed one box and instantly regretted not getting more. Hopefully the little one will still love The Little Mermaid next year — otherwise I’m out a thin dime!
I don’t know why I was so surprised by this, but I was surprised enough to snap a photo. Turns out every Wednesday students and seniors save 10% on all purchases. While that doesn’t apply to the majority of shoppers out there, I know I’ll be doing all my Bulk Barning with a school-bound friend or my mommy on Wednesdays from here on out. 😉
Anybody know of other places with great deals for senior and student SmartCanuckers?
Amazon’s DVD current DVD sales (find out more about them here and here) must be doing them quite well — because they keep adding more! As of this writing there are FOUR active DVD promotions worth checking out. The latest? Their British TV Blowout.
While the site advertises savings of up to 48%, a number of series have savings that surpass even that. Fans of British classics from every era and every genre — from The Avengers to Little Britain, are going to be tickled pink by the selection.
The only thing missing (and sadly, the only thing I was looking for) was a good deal on classic Doctor Who. Oh well — you can’t win them all.
You can check out a full current listing of all of Amazon’s DVD Deals here.
